So come and give it a shot, we're sure you'll like it enough to pay on your own terms. We do not accept cheques, IOUS or sexual favours. Not that it's ever happened *sigh*.
STATUS: ERM, IS THAT A YEAR JUST GONE BY?
Seeing this years Comedy festival brochures really hit
home how little attention I've been paying to the old
Wildcard- it's almost gone a year since the last one.
Yowch. I wish I could say something terribly poetic like
'I've been wrestling in a philosophical bathtub with my
own inner-psyche and it has left me a changed man with no
time for such petty things' but that would be too easy.
A combination of laziness and disillusionment is pretty
accurate. If you do these things for fun, then there is
always the chance you might find something else fun to do
instead. And it's not like the world has been beating down
my door to beg me to do more either- not that I haven't
dreamed it was.
So far so melancholy? Well, despite all my petty whinings
I still think the basic concept (big variety-zero price) is
worth chasing after, and there are a number of new ways that could be entertaining. And the spiteful/ambitious side of me says I could do better than some of the half baked shit out there as well. Gotta prove it though, ultimately.
So, I'm not dead. Just a bit lazy. See you soon.
