About me:

I am the editor-in-chief of Wild Child Publishing and Freya's Bower. Wild Child Publishing has been online as a magazine since 1999. Just this past year, we branched out to book publishing. Pervalism can be found at our site in print and ebook formats and at Amazon in print format.

The magazine section of Wild Child Publishing has closed. After much consideration, I decided to shut down the magazine, time constraints being the main reason.

For our ebook/print section, we are always looking for well-written, entertaining prose of any genre, excepting porn and erotica. (If you are interested in erotica, visit our sister site Freya's Bower. You must be 18 years or older to submit or read anything there.) We are open to new and experienced authors. For information about submitting to the publishing division, please visit our publishing submission guidelines. In order to go to print, books must exceed 70,000 words.

Personally, outside of editing, I am a stay at home mom who is crazy about gardening, swimming, and singing. I also love history, although my primary interest in history is about women. I have sang various styles of music (opera, 50s-60s, jazz, folk, and country), although my first love is opera. My daughter, on the other hand, loves Disney songs, folk songs, classical, opera, and the little songs I make up spur of the moment.

Who I'd like to meet:
writers, singers, editors, historians, swimmers, readers, librarians, actors

Thanks for leaving a comment on my page! :-)

This is a plea for help. :-) I don't do well pleading, and it's hard to get off my knees after, but I hope you'll consider helping me.

First, let me tell you what you get. You get a free read--possibly the entire novel if I get it all up. You get to read it one chapter at a time and can even subscribe to receive it on your cell phone if you want. You get the satisfaction of knowing you helped an author. You'll also qualify to enter my 'Create a Corpse Contest'.

I have entered a new novel titled Lancelot's Lady in the Textnovel/Dorchester "Next Best Celler" contest, and I need votes to get into the top 20.

After that, they consider #votes, #subscribers, review comments and quality of work.

If you haven't voted "thumbs up" for my novel in progress Lancelot's Lady, please do.

My novel was #1 Most Popular for the first 3 weeks of the contest, but I've lost my lead and I need more votes to be selected as a finalist.

Signing up is fast and easy--you won't get junkmail. After you've signed up & confirmed 1 email, you can go back to the link below and click on the thumbs up icon at top.

Thank you so much!

Read & vote for Lancelot's Lady

Please consider forwarding my pathetic plea to all your friends. :-)

I had been secretly at work in Apple's basement application lab. Every time I came up with a new application they shot it down. I thought that this would fund my retirement plan, but they kicked me out the door and told me not to come back. Something about my warped sense of what the World needs now. What do you think?

Here is an interesting photo of the rail station in the town where my office is located. It was taken around the turn of the century and still looks the same (I added the sky). Recently, it received a new roof & refurbishment and a sign outside indicted that the railroad spent $800,000 to do the work. Anyone else could have built a mansion for that price (maybe the Federal Gov't subsidized it). I recently saw a movie, "Be Kind Rewind", where the station appeared very briefly in a scene. Thought you might enjoy the trivia.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic Women are the sources of life. They are the birth givers, the nurturers, the mentors and the molders of the present and the future. Since the beginning of humanity, women have been worshipped, adored, cherished and admired. They also have been defamed, castigated, condemned, abused, maligned, raped and murdered. Women are lovers, wives, mothers, healers, writers, artists, inventors, queens, princesses, presidents, administrators, tradespeople, laborers, aviators, astronauts, navigators and soldiers. They serve many and give to all walks of life, yet they are more than mere mortals because they remain the source of all life. Because women are so much to so many, they have been depicted on cave walls and in oil portraits. They are a favorite subject of artists in all genre since they represent beauty and bounty, mayhem and madness, courage and constancy, seduction and sex, nakedness and style. They are the world to the world.

“The most important kind of freedom is to be what you really are. You trade in your reality for a role. You trade in your sense for an act. You give up your ability to feel, and in exchange, put on a mask. There can't be any large-scale revolution until there's a personal revolution, on and individual level. It's got to happen inside first. You can take away a man's political freedom and you won't hurt him- unless you take away his freedom to feel. That can destroy him. That kind of freedom can't be granted. Nobody can win it for you.”
