Here is what critics had to say about DEATHSCRIBE 2008:
"An engaging, imaginative, thoroughly enjoyable night of entertainment. An unqualified success!"
--Nick Digilio, WGN Radio Chicago
" A superb homage to the classic horror radio plays of yesteryear..."
--Adam Rockoff, author of Going to Pieces:
The Rise and Fall of the Slasher Film
Who I'd like to meet: Horror fans of all shapes and sizes, and anyone who wants to see REAL HORROR back on the stage. Visit http://wildclawtheater.com/ for more info!
Here's what people are saying about WildClaw's production of Scott Barsotti's THE REVENANTS!!!!
“…a piece firmly centered on the central question of what makes us human…[Director Anne] Adams knows how to underscore the creepiness without letting it overwhelm the heart of the show.” --Kerry Reid, Chicago Tribune
“Well worth your time. If you love horror and/or unusual theater, The Revenants should not be missed.” --Venus Zarris, Steadstyle Chicago
“Just a few minutes in, I was checking my escape routes in case I had to make a run for it. Charlie Athanas’s set design…left me slack-jawed [while] Mikhail Fiksel’s sound design really sets the show’s atmosphere, and continues to enhance throughout. The acting is solid all around. Blood and gore are used sparingly, but to great effect – Ryan Oliver’s squibs are some of the best ever seen onstage. I was startled, grossed out, shocked, afraid, and saddened…” --J. Scott Hill, Chicago Stage Review
“The Revenants ROCKS!” --Jill Mire, Killer-Works
“It’s clear these folks know and love horror. It’s rare to see scary theater, and I really appreciate that these folks are able to pull off high-quality, small-scale productions like this. A real treasure. 4 out of 5 stars!” --Ian Monroe, Windy City Horror
“…a tight, edgy, claustrophobic and suspenseful character drama with harrowing moments and deep emotional resonance. And did I mention the Scary? Hell, yeah.” --David Schmidt, Sword and Cloak
Haven't been on myspace for month with may shooting projects I've been working on to include just being cast in "The Green Hornet.
I've also been taking the students in my "Audition Workshop" class out on location and shooting their workshop scenes as part of the class. A great perk for them that no one else offers in the business.
Thanks again for the comment on my profile and keep in touch.
Wishing you much success

Hi! Just wanted to make sure all my friends know that my 2nd horror novel SACRIFICE was released this month - and is in stores everywhere, including Amazon.com. I hope you'll check out the book! Here are a couple reviews it's gotten:
“SACRIFICE is not for the timid or weak of heart, it is a full frontal assault on your senses. It is a dark, brutal, bloody and terribly frightening book. Everson went deep into some dark abyss to bring this book to the light of day.... I highly recommend Sacrifice.” —Famous Monsters of Filmland
“John Everson manages in SACRIFICE to dispense buckets of blood, provide edgy perversity, and walk the tenuous tightrope of horror and sex without falling: It’s rather an amazing feat.” –Hell Notes

Hi, Saw your production of HP Lovecraft's Dreams in the Witch House last weekend. It has occurred to me that there is a massive audience of 20,000-40,000 fans that gather at GENCON in Indianapolis August 13-16 that would be overwhelmingly receptive to your productions and would most likely require you to hire a Brink's truck, which would be full of your money, to come back to Chicago. Seriously, check into it: http://www.gencon.com/2009/indy/
They are taking event submissions, Theatres and Grand Halls are available for this event, in January. We truly hope to see your production there this year.
Thanks for sending me the Bloody Axe for winning Deathscribe! I just got it today! It's going to look great on my bookshelf, but I have to keep it up REALLY high! Not exactly a good toy for my 2 year old! But he's going to love the plush Vampire Stake! Sorry I didn't get to go to Deathscribe live. I would have loved to have been there...
Thanks, I hope I get a ton of presents. It's the only reason I even like birthdays. mwahahaha. Dunno why I put the mwahahaha in, just felt like I needed something ominous for umph.
