Good Evening. My name is Dave Wilder and I'm a musician/producer living in LA, or, more specifically, Glendale (aka "The Dale"). I got my start out here as a bass player, playing for artists like Macy Gray, Liz Phair, Rosey, MoZella, and many others. I write songs, like Macy's "I try" and "Sexual Revoulution," and collaborate with many talented friends. Nowadays I also make all kinds of music for movies, tv shows, and commercials, and video art pieces., while still playing bass and sometimes guitar on peoples records when I can. (You can hear me on bass on the Vanguard Release, "Pictures and Sounds" the latest Ghostface Killah Album, "The Big Doe Rehab" as well as the new Everlast album, "Love, War, and the Ghost of Whitey Ford, and the awesome debut album from Sam Sparro, just out on Island Universal). I play in an old school, mostly instrumental reggae group called The Lions on Ubiquity Records, (we have an album out called jungle struttin, a top spin at LA's kcrw, and high on the CMJ world music charts) and sometimes with the Rhythm Roots All Stars and Connie Price and the Keystones backing up people like Redman, De La Soul, Big Daddy Kane, and Barrington Levy at one off shows. My amazing drummer friend Pete McNeal and I produced a record for a group called the The Panderers, fronted by the incredible songwriter Scott Wynn, straight out of Indiana, The single "come on" is starting to tear up the airwaves all over the place, and is the theme for the new playstation "little big planet" international ad campaign. please check out some tracks and videos......Take care of yourself.
