Myra Taylor Her career began in the '30s,when she entertained at the Sunset Club on 12th Street. The first lady of Kansas City R&B and jazz continues to perform and record. She is an international performer receiving numerous awards. At 90, Myra Taylor is just as spunky as ever and her smooth, calming voice sounds s good as it did when she recorded her classic hit "Spider and the Fly" decades ago.
Millie Edwards Nottingham is known around Kansas City as the tiny woman with the big voice. Her "big" voice and wide range, as well as her friendly professional manner have endeared her to Kansas City audiences over the years. She has been a regular on he Kansas City Jazz and Blues circuit, frequently performing at some of the best clubs in town as well as radio and television spots. She is undoubtedly one of the cities best-kept secrets. She is a true vocal stylist with a distinctive and mature sound. Millie has traveled extensively and has been featured with such artists as Everette DeVan, Greg Meise, and the late Charles Erland. She has appeared on numerous CDs and is a 22-year employee with AT&T. She is a graduate of Ottawa University and has a Masters of Education from Rockhurst College.
Lori Tucker's expressive vocals have enabled her to hold long-term engagements in many of Kansas City's finest nightspots. As well as being a noted jazz, R&B, and blues artist, she's widely recognized in the gospel arena. In addition to being a featured guest with the world famous Ink Spots on numerous occasions, she's performed with Everette DeVan and the late Richard Groove Holmes. Lori's also performed the National Anthem for many civic and sports events including the Los Angeles Lakers and Kansas City Royals games. Since the early 70's many through recordings, television, and radio have enjoyed her melodic tones.
Geneva Price A versatile and gifted performer, she continues to "make her mark" on the Kansas City scene by giving audiences what they want, songs with grace, style and feeling. A real renaissance woman. Her music is reminiscent of the 30's, 40's, and 50's flow from smooth mellow interpretations of ballads, to toe tapping rhythms. "She sings with a kind of clarity and conviction that elevates the music above the level of mere 'jazz'," Ingrams Magazine.
Bill Maness, the keyboard player for the Wild Women has been a lifelong resident in the Kansas City area. He received his music degree from the UMKC Conservatory of Music in 1969 and has played for the Wild Women from their inception in 1999. Bill is also an attorney practicing locally. Some say his business card should read, "Attorney at Jazz."

Heard some of Myra's tunes today on KANU 91.5. Great tunes like "Dig it." He was talking about the Myra Taylor scholarship fund party on 8/17.
Sounds like a good time!
