We have been blessed by the wonder of God shown through His creation in all styles, cultures, and genres.
WILL & JEVON BOLDEN are a wonderfully talented couple currently living in the lush Central Florida area. The two have been singing together and a part for more than two decades. Their sound combines the hip, pop culture in which they both have been raised with the soulful sounds of a gospel church. Having both been trained vocally, their natural talents caress the eardrums as their passion for music encircles the soul.
Will is a musical visionary and vocal phenom. He is exceptionally gifted in lyric writing, song production, and vocal arrangement. He has written, produced, and collaborated on a half dozen albums of various genres including smooth jazz, rock, praise and worship, hip-hop, and gospel. He has even had the privilege of opening for gospel great Yolanda Adams. He is a musician’s dream vocalist with perfect timing and the ability to ad lib spontaneously to any instrumental improvisation. He is truly the singer that makes each song his own. In 2002, Will’s song “Want You,” debuted on WJAB 90.9 FM in Huntsville, AL, and was put in regular rotation.
Jevon is classically trained in voice with a wonderfully versatile vocal range and has sung in many genres from pop, jazz, and classical to contemporary Christian, gospel, and various ethnic styles of music. She has been compared to legendary vocalists Chaka Khan, Anita Baker, Lauryn Hill, Faith Evans, and Jennifer Hudson. She coaches vocalists on performance and technique and can also sight read and play moderate piano.
Together Will and Jevon serve as worship leaders and appear as special musical guests at churches and special events across the Southeast. They have been featured on various CD projects and have performed with well-noted jazz bands within Central Florida jazz community. They have lent themselves to many charity events and homeless outreach projects. Those who know them best would tell you that Will and Jevon extend their heart for music with liberality. They have most recently shared their talents with the Center for Contemporary Dance by writing an original piece for their production Colours of Courage: a Celebration of Black History. They performed the song live on January 2, 2009 with the dance company on the nationally televised morning show The Daily Buzz. Currently, Will and Jevon are working in partnership with Worship Under the Stars and Habitat for Humanity in forming a citywide mass choir and band that will raise funds to build a home for a local disabled woman.
Will and Jevon are at the end of a two-year trek as they have completed their first album, A Father’s Love, released mid-2008. It is a fusion of contemporary Christian, jazz, soul, and hip-hop. They both agree that all things are possible only with God and are grateful for the doors their gifts open for them.
