I love traveling, music, reality TV, hanging out with friends, shopping, going to concerts, reading Pink Is The New Blog, going to the gym, taking pictures of flowers and nature, hanging out on a beach pretty much anywhere (but tropical beaches are best).
Music
I listen to a lot of different stuff: Gwen Stefani, Devin the Dude, Led Zepplin, Bob Dylan, Snoop Dogg, Peter Bjorn & John, Band of Horses, Sonic Youth, Emily Haines, Gnarls Barkley, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Busta Rhymes, Nelly Furtado, Metric, Murs & 9th Wonder, E-40, Fabolous, Death Cab for Cutie, The Cure, Kanye West, The Arctic Monkeys, The Subways, Blink 182, Eminem, Fiona Apple, Flaming Lips, The Game, M.I.A., Madonna, No Doubt, Violent Femmes, Bob Marley, Freddy McGreggor, Rolling Stones, Justin Timberlake, etc. Lots of good stuff out there.
Movies
I have always loved and will continue to love Fast Times at Ridgemont High (probably my favorite movie of all time). I love Donnie Darko (and NOT the director's cut, that one sucked!). Home Alone and A Christmas Story are also favs around the holidays.
Television
The writer's strike has really put a damper on new tv shows like Desperate Housewives, Notes from the Underbelly, Grey's Anatomy, etc. "Reality" TV is all that's left - I've been watching a lot of Newport Harbor, Real Housewives of O.C., Project Runway (a "good" reality show), Paranormal State, etc. Also good are reruns of CSI - fabulous in HD (thanks Nick for hooking up the Tivo HD this Christmas! Love it!).
Books
Travel guidebooks, The Jolly Postman, Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, Miffy. I don't unfortunately read a lot of books. I'm somewhat ashamed of this fact. I figure I will someday when I get older.

Hey I'm working on a movie contest for the Port Townsend Film Festival so I've been in Seattle for a couple day's meeting film people. I thought about calling you, but don't have your number anymore. Hit me up with it. Willow
Yeah it was fairly quiet but a good time. The weather was decent and turned out to be a nice evening. Had a bonfire on the beach, did some fireworks, made s'mores, and then slept outside that night! All was well until it rained at 7:30 in the morning....could have been worse though, could have been at 3:30 in the morning! It was a good weekend overall. How about yours?
Hey Willa! Wow, Nick gets to go to China huh? Very cool...I too am jealous. I was wondering....do you remember student worker Richard's last name? Richard and Lindsay..... I just can't remember. Do you still keep in contact?
So I went into this European market near my house called EuroFoods (or something equally as obvious) and they had not only Russian Kinder Surprises but they had like 5 other types of chocolate eggs with treats inside! I have no idea where they're from exactly since I can't read the writing but there's all sorts of cool ones! I chose 5 but I haven't opened any yet. I thought I'd wait until Jonathan and Sara and I can get together to do them. I hope there's weird Russian or Polish figurines in them. I wish you were here to open them with us!
Tori and Kenyon are both working in the medical field....Tori for an oral surgeon and Kenyon, hm, kidney center maybe?? I can't remember exactly. And I know what you mean....I really did love working with you and Jonathan. It was super fun. Getting to go to work every day and laugh all day with friends was pretty amazing. Thanks for being my friend!
Hey Willa! Yvonne took Jonathan and Sara and I to Cafe Akroteri for one final lunch before AP's practice closes. AP was out of town so that was a bonus! She inquired about you. She also told us that she and her husband are moving to Madison, Wisconsin. Her husband got a promotion and that's where he has to go. I also went to dinner this week with Kenyon and Tori and they asked about you too. Just thought I'd pass that along :)
Well, it's going to take many months to actually wrap up AP's psychiatry practice so even when AP is gone, Jonathan will still be working on collecting money and doing medical records and that sort of thing. So, he won't be out of a job for a few more months. Plus, he's just using this as opportunity to start working more on his other business ventures. Sara was saying this has been good for JM though because it's kinda pushed her to move forward with things and get her ass in gear! I feel bad for Ben though. He doesn't want AP to go.
Funny you texted me earlier because I was out to dinner with Jonathan, Sara and Micah and we were discussing AP moving to Thailand. I knew it was a possibility but I never thought he'd actually do it! So random. Did JM call you?
wow...you guys are dorks. actually I would probably do that too =) I'm just glad I don't feel sick cuz that would suck. and I actually wanna go to school ironically.
I went to the doctor today for a sore throat, and it turns out I have strep. it isn't unbearable at this point but I can't go to school until next week...it sucks.
yeah, I'm really not looking forward to it, especially because it's at like 8 in the morning or something. on a freakin SATURDAY! I took the PSAT last year, but I haven't done any study workbooks except a few practice questions online.
hey! mom and dad were talking about going down to seattle in a couple of weekends to visit steve and margie. they have probably talked to you about it already...I'm not sure if I'm staying home or at your place? they mentioned something about that too. talk to you soon! (P.S. I have to take the SAT on the 26th!)
It is expensive to stay in hotels, but food and shopping isn't really any more expensive. It is easy enough to be thrift if need be. For example I would just go to the local 7-11 and buy a couple of steamed buns called nikomon for about $1 a piece and a couple beers, and for $6 bucks I would be full and buzzed.
Jamaica mon, nice! I have been sleeping in a lot this winter break that is for sure. I am also an asst. wrestling coach and I am a head junior high coach. (JH season starts soon.) Otherwise just trying to finish up 2 more quarters at WWU. I also applied to teach English in Japan through the JET program. Otherwise I might try to get into grad school. So this new year is going to be busy and full of transitions for me. You should have told me to come visit earlier, I have been doing very little for the last week, and I was supposed to go to Portland to visit Paul, but that fell through. But, I might try to come visit in the near future, it would be nice to kick it.
