Will Black is a dynamic & charismatic Canadian singer whose songs launch listeners heavenward in their very own classic rock 'n roll rocket! Imagine Bon Jovi vs. Aerosmith with a shot of Springsteen and you're gold! Rock on.

Originally from Canada, Will Black was an army brat during his youth. Being the son of an officer in the Canadian Armed Forces gave Will life experiences he wouldn’t have normally had. This lifestyle nourished an independent spirit, which he believes gave him the confidence to write and perform music.

Will has enjoyed classic rock and roll music since he was young. Listening to his father’s large collection of rock cassettes around the house and in the car as a child fed a love for this style of music. Seeing Bon Jovi at the Winnipeg Arena in 1993 brought the realization that this was the road he needed to take. His musical influences also include artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Prince, U2 and Stevie Ray Vaughan. This is a true music lover.

Will officially left Canada in 2001 and began performing in various exotic locations throughout North America. From cruise ships in the Caribbean to his 5 year nightly stand at Hog Penny Pub in Bermuda, his goal to make a living performing live has been a real success story.

Listening to Will’s music, you hear a true songwriter’s love for performance. His genuine desire to bring passion into the lives of others fueled his will to create showstoppers, like his newest single “Senorita Ballerina”. That quick tempo is the foundation for an uplifting song and a real catchy tune – you can’t help but dance and sing along. This single is off of his latest CD “Dancing With The Dead”, which is his first complete record of all original material. Will wrote and produced the entire album as an independent artist. “Dancing With The Dead” was released in April 2008.



Will Black is a fantastic performer and original artist who brings a refreshing sound to the future of rock and roll music. His accomplishments are true testimonials of his talent, such as:

- He placed in the top 20 for the Rock/Alternative category in Unisong's 12th Annual International Songwriting Contest. (www.unisong.com)
- He was nominated as Best Rock Song at the 2008 Ontario Independent Music Awards.
- He was selected as a Semi-Finalist in the 2008 UK Songwriting Contest.
- His single, "Senorita Ballerina" was recognized as a Semi-Finalist in the 2008 UK Songwriting Contest.

Will Black is currently booked through 2009 at the Hog Penny Pub in Hamilton, Bermuda. However, his goal is to get back out on the road in 2010 touring everywhere possible supporting his next CD project.
