Will Cafaro is a doubling bassist and composer from Commerce, Michigan a small suburb of Detroit. Will Discovered the electric bass in 8th grade and the upright in High School. Under the guidance of instructors Sam Trapchack,Rodney Whitaker and Bob Degeorge Will was awarded the Louis Armstrong High School Jazz Award, A Nomination for the National High School Band Award, a spot in the Detroit Civic Jazz Ensembles as well as Scholarship to Berklee College of Music where he now studies as a dual major in Performance and Jazz Composition and has so far been fortunate to study and perform with great players like Benny Golson, Robin Eubanks, Rodney Whitaker, Greg Hopkins, Mark Whitfield, Andrew Strong, Greg Osby, Ed Saindon, Julian Lage, Lin Biviano, Oscar Stagnaro, Lincoln Goines, Bruce Gertz, Wes Anderson, Derrick Gardener, Bruno Raberg, John Lockwood and Eric Alexander. Will is available for private lessons in upright and electric bass as well as jazz and classical theory, improvisation, composition and arranging.Will is also a bassist for hire for other styles as well. He just finished up his first international tour with Horizon Music recording artist "Tucker Jameson and the Hot Mugs" and is currently gigging and recording around the Boston area with multiple groups such as the blues-rock band Gypsy Cab, singer songwriter groups Rachel Borovik, Jeff Adamczyk Band, The Alchemists and finger style acoustic artist Jay Gagon
