Thanks for checking out my page. You came here because you wanted to learn a bit more about me, right?
As long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by music & radio and knew early on that's what I wanted to do.
Back in high school I created and ran my own mobile DJ service and made good money as kid spinning various parties and school dances. I had quite the following in my High School as the guy that created a bunch of mixtapes of the hottest party jams. Little did I know back then, that I'd be making these 'mixtapes' for a living.
I started radio my career in Chicago in 2001 at the former dance station ENERGY 92-7 & 5 (WKIE/WKIF/WDEK) interning for the morning show and eventually getting hired into the promotions and production departments. I was even given the opportunity to do live air-shifts (you know, the DJ that tells you what songs played).
In 2002, looking for the next opportunity, I sent my demo materials off to 103.7 KISS-FM (WXSS-FM) in Milwaukee and they hired me on as a weekend DJ and shortly there after in early 2003, ENERGY 92-7 & 5 was sold off to a spanish company, the format was abandoned and the entire staff, including myself, was let go.
Later that year, I joined forces with some friends to create RADIOMIXES a nationally syndicated radio mixshow with our first 2 stations were B96.3 (WBBM-FM) Chicago and 103.7 KISS-FM (WXSS-FM)! You might know these mixes as JOJO'S PARTY JAM, THE 5 O'CLOCK TRAFFIC JAM and KLUB KISS. Today, these same mixes can be heard on stations across the country.
In 2005, the powers that be here at KISS-FM offered me the PRODUCTION COORDINATOR position which I held until 2007 when I left to pursue other opportinities. For now, I still remain on the 103.7 KISS-FM staff as a weekend and fill-in DJ and you even hear me playing the hits every Sunday afternoon from Noon to 6pm and during the week from time to time when Jojo takes her never ending trips to Florida.
Also in 2005, I created an internet radio station called iPartyRadio, which plays non-stop uptempo dance & party music. If you have iTunes installed on your computer, you can find my station in the radio directory under the Dance and Pop categories. Check it out and let me know what you think!
That's all there is to know about me, now tell me about YOU! Thanks for stopping by and keep in touch!
