Will Gillespie plays guitar, harmonica, piano, ukulele, cigar box slide "pseudobro" and sings. Often Will plays with Josh Turnbull on drums/cajon and trumpet. Occasionally Chris Swayne joins him on the bass, and when all three are together along with Marco Donato on banjo/mandolin they are the SALTCOATS.

Will was born and raised in South Porcupine, Ontario and has been writing songs for most of his life. Currently residing in Toronto, nowadays Will performs solo, with the SALTCOATS and/or the Nightlife and drums for the Zoonotics from time to time as well as playing bass for Drunk Woman at their weekly Honky Night in Canada series.
