Hi and welcome to my Myspace! Here you can find all the latest information about what I'm doing and when and where I'm doing it. I'm excited to have just released a new album entitled "Reflections" as well as two new songs "Lonely Teardrops" and "Sweet Music Man" to radio, where they have all been doing extremely well! I will try to keep this site updated as often as possible, so without further ado, here's a little bit about me and what I'm currently doing...

This CD is the audio from a live concert that I performed in August 2005 to raise money to help rebuild houses in my hometown community of Northwest Florida after Hurricane Ivan ravaged this area, leaving many people homeless and without a means of rebuilding.
Will Hedgecock possesses a voice best described as "classic." At once, it serves as a standard of excellence, possesses enduring quality, and is destined to become historically memorable. Will was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida. Both of his parents were music fans, and early on, he developed a love for the music that played in their home. He began taking piano lessons early, and when Will was 9 years old, he joined the Pensacola Children’s Chorus. For 10 years, he sang and toured with the group throughout the US, England, Canada, France, and Mexico, performing at many prestigious venues, including the White House. It was during one such Children's Chorus performance that Grammy award-winning producer Larry Butler first saw Will perform, and he immediately approached the Hedgecocks to talk about the possibility of a musical career for the then-17-year-old Hedgecock.
After one night in fellow-Pensacolian Lucky Kelson's recording studio, with a rough cover of Roy Orbison's "Crying" in hand, Larry and Will headed to Nashville to record a demo CD of Roy Orbison hits to present to record companies. It wasn't long before Will met Jimmy Gilmer of JAG Management, former manager for Brad Paisley and singer of "Sugar Shack" by "Jimmy Gilmer and the Fireballs," who agreed to manage Will and do what he could to further his career.
At the start, Will was approached by the Las Vegas "Legends in Concert" management and asked to perform there as their Roy Orbison impersonator. Although the offer was tempting, Will decided it would be better to enroll in college and work on a musical career that didn't involve impersonation and the Vegas lifestyle. That year, Will graduated from Pensacola High School's International Baccalaureate program with a perfect 4.0 average as a National Merit Scholar and was admitted into the Computer Engineering program at Vanderbilt University.
During the fall of his freshman year, the tragedy of Hurricane Ivan struck Pensacola, and Will returned home only to find his hometown ravaged by the storm and in desperate need of repair. He then decided to perform a benefit concert the following summer to benefit Rebuild Northwest Florida. The concert was performed at the historic Pensacola Saenger Theatre and was a phenomenal success, netting over $100,000 for the organization. One year later, Will was introduced to George Collier, COO of independent recording label Aspirion Records. George listened to Will's music and upon hearing Will's voice, Collier conceived a concept for his debut album. "I heard in Will a voice that would be able to create hits of his own, and cover songs that most artists would shy away from," Collier states.
The following summer, Will studied abroad in Berlin, and upon returning to the states, immediately traveled back to Nashville to begin working on the album. The result of this endeavor was a CD entitled "Reflections," comprising 16 well-known classics, as well as two never-before-recorded power ballads, "I Don't Know" and "Lovers." "I Don't Know" was released to radio in January of the next year and quickly climbed the radio charts, ultimately reaching 37 on Billboard's Adult Contemporary chart in April.
In May 2008, the album was released to the public and has been circulating in print as well as on online stores such as iTunes and Amazon. At the same time, Will graduated from Vanderbilt with his Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, earning accolades with the Computer Engineering Program Award as having made "the greatest progress in professional development" in the program. At the same time, he learned that he had been accepted into the Ph.D. program at Vanderbilt for Electrical Engineering with a full scholarship as well as a Research Assistantship for the duration of his stay at the University. He began work on this endeavor last August and is still going strong with a 4.0 average. His lifelong passion, however, is to have a successful career in music. His intellectual depth, along with his good looks, world-class vocals, and piano skills, set the stage for Hedgecock to accomplish that goal. "I do hope to be doing this for a long time!" he states.
