Although you may just be finding out about him, William Bailey is no stranger to the music scene. He is a seasoned and accomplished musician with decades of experience in live performance under his belt. He has toured the orient and western Europe under a stage name as a bass guitarist and been a cornerstone in forming many bands on drums and vocals. His new solo CD project entitled "Dreams" contains songs which have been years in the making while others are fresh new ideas. Churned out by years of life experiences and influenced by multiple music styles the acoustic guitar and vocal work he is putting out now can be described as genre bending. I have lived in Columbia now for many years. I originally came to Columbia to go to college. I obtained a degree in Civil Engineering here and then decided to stay. I never used the degree but I believe my practice in music helped in my ability to do mathematics and vice-versa. Music does have a lot of math in it, although mostly I just play with a feeling and don't really think about the complexities of it. Everything from Snoop Doggy Dog to Hank Williams. There are too many to name here, but I would say some of my strongest musical influences would be Tom Petty, Otis Redding, Sly Stone, Bill Monroe, Bob Dylan, The Band, and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
