Welcome to my Myspace Page! All tracks are from my new CD "Awakening" ...solo piano music recently recorded in Toronto. I hope you enjoy listening to my music.
Note: The track "Young Irish Heart" was written as a tribute to my maternal grandfather, William Radey ("Willy"). Willy Radey was an Irish fiddler, tap-dancer and extraordinary story-teller who had an incredible zest for life and a genuine love of music, people and entertaining. He inspired me with his great sense of humour and generous spirit. This track is a tribute to his legacy.
William Lavigne was born and raised in Sudbury, Ontario where he began piano studies at an early age with Norma Luck. He is a graduate of the music program at Cambrian College in Sudbury, where he studied voice with Marion Harvey and piano with John Hannah and Valerie Candelaria. After moving to Toronto, he furthered his musical studies at the University of Toronto and through the Royal Conservatory of Music.
William currently resides in Toronto.
