I write for, play in and produce serial banjo / laptop abusers Sweet Billy Pilgrim, about whom the Sunday Times said
"This calm, pretty folktronica is strange but not difficult: there are choruses here that, if Chris Martin had stumbled across them, would have shifted another million Coldplay albums. A rather special debut." (3/5)
...and Mojo Magazine said
"Elsenburg's perfectly shaped songs have the same power as magic realist short stories that sieve the emotions and leave you reduced to jelly." (****)
But I have a hankering to tinker with the work of others, perhaps as producer, remixer or soundtrack composer.
David Sylvian's recent 'Good Son Vs. the Only Daughter' project features a remix by Sweet Billy Pilgrim which relies heavily on a detuned ukelele and my father's clarinet playing. We believe this may be a first for Mr Sylvian, and would like to think that there may be those out there who'd appreciate similarly unpredictable treatment.
I also find much joy amongst things that Hip and Hop, particularly if they do so through a glass, darkly. I'm developing a project in this area, so if your MC-ing is fearless, quirky and innovative, check the influences and the beat, check for touched nerves and then get in touch if you find any.
FILM MAKERS: Your visuals. My atmospheric pressure. Think about it.

Sure I do smalltalk, but I'm never there long enough for trivialities.. so it has to be major discussion! You do know I live in Gibraltar and stalk you guys from afar.. right? That's commitment for you. Yes, I should be committed. x
Hiya Tim!
Next time we will have a chat about life, the universe and everything, and maybe go over the lyrics to "forget to breathe" so you can play it for me :-)
See you at the lovely Luminaire!
xx Keira
Yey friend! Time to pop your message cherry! Good luck with all this. I know how talented you are, so it's only a matter of time before someone else - someone more useful than me - spots it. Of course, you could get on with my remix sometime...!!? ;-)
