William Vandermade is a young musician from the Sydney metropolitan area.
He started to get involved in music during his early teenage years, after spending hours hammering on the keys of the family’s piano.
Since then, William has intensely developed his crafts as a performer and composer and already has some grand memories to look back upon, including performances at The Annandale Hotel, The Sound Lounge, The Domain and ANZ Stadium.
William has also written and produced music for many ensembles, from local indie bands to The Sydney Youth Orchestra, and has also written and produced music for several accomplished solo artists.
Now, after years of discovering and developing a unique sound, William is ready to take on the world as a solo artist:
“I remember spending hours and days locked away in my room, getting completely lost in making these songs. I remember in particular the isolation, where even my thoughts had a voice. I felt that I was walking on a piece of musical ground that was bare and non-territorial; a piece of musical ground that I could explore without any kind of restrictions. There were no parameters. There was no potential to make mistakes. The mainstream music scene had disappeared from sight and the underground music scene had only gotten deeper underground.
“It was here that I had discovered my own musical identity. I felt that I had just left musical puberty and have matured in somewhat of a professional songwriter.
“Now it should only get better from here…”
