GRACE IS ENOUGH
by Willie Aames and Maylo Upton-Aames
ABOUT THE BOOK
While actor Willie Aames (Eight Is Enough, Charles in Charge) was at the peak of Hollywood success, his future wife, Maylo Upton, was a teenage runaway, eating out of trash bins and living on the streets to escape the sexual crimes of her cult-ruined mother’s barbaric boyfriend. By the time Willie met Maylo, his star was falling because of sex, drugs, rock and roll, and family problems while her acting career was starting to rise. Together, they found God and got their messy lives clean, but the ghosts from their gritty past would duly roughen the road to victory.
Grace Is Enough is their fascinating insider story of fame and infamy, spiritual regrets and renewal, and the ultimate realization that with God all things are possible. It will appeal to and greatly inspire everyone from pop culture fans to the traditional Christian nonfiction reader.
About the Author(s)
Willie Aames is among today’s best-known “former child stars.” Previously starring in the hit sitcoms Eight Is Enough and Charles in Charge, he also made famous the “Bibleman” brand and recently appeared on VH-1’s Celebrity Fit Club. Now involved in film production, he lives in Kansas City with his wife, Maylo, and their daughter.
Maylo Upton is married to Willie Aames and overcame a tragic upbringing to become an accomplished actress in her own right with credits that include The A-Team, Hunter, and Santa Barbara. She starred in The Missy Files with her daughter, Harleigh which Willie directed.
About me: THIS IS A FAN PAGE! I am not associated with Willie Aames or his management! Please do not leave personal messages to him! I'm just a FAN!!!
I've been a fan for over 30 years and have enjoyed putting together this page, to share old pictures that I have saved or collected online throughout the years. I hope you enjoy this page. Please add your comments below.
Willie Aames was born on July 15, 1960 in Los Angeles, California. He made his first guest appearance in the popular television series "The Courtship of Eddie's Father" and the popular 1974-1984 television series "Little House on the Prairie". He was also on "The Odd Couple", "Family" and as we know him most as Tommy on "Eight is Enough" and Buddy on "Charles in Charge". He also helped launch the popular Bibleman video series and live-action stage show for children in 1995 (he is now retired from the role). Did you know that during the late 70s/early 80s Willie formed a rock band called "Willie Aames & Paradise" where he was the lead singer/guitarist. We remember seeing them at Old Chicago back in the day. Willie had/has a wonderful voice. We even have a couple of his 45 records too. He also appeared in many films - see list on the left of all the movies and television shows he did.
Currently he has appeared on VH1's Celebrity Fit Club and also just published a book called "Grace is Enough". Willie is now involved in television production. He lives with his wife Maylo and their daughter Harleigh (born in 1990). Willie also has a son, Christopher, (born in 1981) from his first marriage.

NOW ABOUT ME:
I've been a Willie Aames fan for over 30 years now. A few of my cherished treasures I have are his autographed photo to me, a picture with him when I was around 10, and his two 45 records I have (along with my Def Leppard autographed guitar and memorabilia).
I have a large collection of photos cut from magazines in the late 70s and also photos I collected online, so I figured I would start this page and share these photos of Willie Aames with other fans. It's fun to reminisce back to the 70's/80's!
There are 3 men that I have adored since the 70's/80's and I still do (not in any particular order): 1. Joe Elliott, Def Leppard; 2. Ryne Sandberg, Chicago Cubs; and 3. Willie Aames. Nothing has ever changed this list after all these years!
