Working closely with my producer Bobby Iadeluca for our new push in Nashville and LA. We are cleaning up the final song cuts before going in the studio. Just wait until you see who's playing on my new record... So far Kenny Aronoff and Chris Rodriguez to name a few. Life is good and were on the move. Watch out!!!!
BIO:
Well normally I put the standard written bio in here, but I felt like rambling on today so here goes. I'm not from the south, but I figure if I was not supposed to fall in love with country music they never should have let me hear it. I was just a kid sitting and listening to the outlaw movement with my Dad on his vinyl records and I knew what I liked. I didnt know why at the time, but I Especially liked watching Dolly Parton on her T.V. show Dolly. My Dads cousin Bill grew up playing country and rock in the bars as a teenager. Bill use to come over with his guitar and play for hours while I sat and watched in awe. It wasnt until I was in 4th grade that I began to develop my singing voice, and at the time Country was not the cool thing to be listening too, so regretfully I was a closet fan for duration of my grade school years. I was taken under the wing of vocal teacher Kathy Kane when I joined the Wyandotte Academy Youth Choir. She recognized my love for music and helped me develop my voice. Unfortunately when you get to middle school you could no longer be in the youth choir so I refocused my attention to the guitar. Thats when I turned to my cousin Bill for some crash course lessons. I think I played that into line to Sweet Home Alabama 400 times before I had it down. Everyone hated that song with a passion because of me, but thankfully time has healed those wounds. When I began High School I started that awkward transition of learning how to play guitar and sing at the same time. I dont know what happened, but one day I just picked up the guitar and started playing The Eagles hit Take It Easy and I could miraculously do both. I went crazy learning songs after that because of my newfound talent. Ever since I was little I had a knack for memorizing lyrics so I think it was easier for me because I could focus on the guitar. Sometimes it cracks me up driving around and I catch myself singing along to an 80s A-Ha song hidden away in the song corner of my brain for 10 years. How does that happen?? Once I started feeling comfortable I began doing acoustic shows and a local Coffee house called the Grind. I became really comfortable with playing in front of strangers by doing this, but by this time I was graduating high school and it was time to go to college.
I applied and got in to Ferris State University originally studying to be a heating and cooling technician. I started writing songs in my spare time, and my friends encouraged me to professionally record them. I recorded 2 of my songs locally with some friends and a small budget. It was only then that I thought that I may have something worth pursuing. The finished product was extremely raw and I had not yet discovered my true voice, but it was pretty good. I was bound and determined to play on a larger scale to see if large crowds felt the same, or if my close friends were protecting my feelings. Before I knew it I was playing in the bars and eventually The Budweiser Downtown Hoedown in Detroits Hart Plaza in front of hundreds of people. My first 2 song cd titled I can continued to sell and I now more than ever wanted to record country music and sing for a living. My next natural step was to create a top quality cd and I knew if I wanted to do that I had to go to Nashville. It took about 3 years to get enough guts to go and do it, but it was well worth the wait. I dont think I was ready vocally or mentally to do it any sooner, so I am glad in the long run that I recorded it when I did. I took 2 of the songs that I really liked that I had written and recorded them along with 7 others. I listened to upwards of 1500 songs before picking the 6 that are on the cd because I believe that 90% of the success of an artist is in the song and 10% is the delivery. The 7th song on the cd is a remake of one of my Idols, Bob Segers hit song Turn The Page. I was listening to Turn the Page one day and I pictured the Saxophone parts replaced with a fiddle and reproduced with all of the smoky heart felt guts of Seger, but with a Nashville twist. This album has defined me as an artist and has locked me in as a major voice of country music in my area.
The Willie Nash band has been touring for the last 2 years statewide and is currently pursuing a lifetime of dreams come true. Join us now on our journey.

Hey Willie, The Rose and Ben Band would like to thank you so very much for your friendship and support. And appreciate your invitation, VOICE IT IN MUSIC.
Friends answer your needs before their own. You come to them with your hunger, And they satisfy you with peace. That's how friends are. Friends let you speak your mind, Without worrying what their thoughts will be. Friends know when you are silent, They need to listen your heart. Friends share the joy and the pain. They know about desire and rejection. Friends allow you to be who you are, Without expectations of who you should be. Friends don't come with a purpose, They don't come with a plan. They come to enlighten your spirit, They come to brighten your heart. They come to give you a hand when needed And expect nothing in return. It is the little things that friends do. Like fill your heart with pleasure, hope and joy. AAHH... The Sweetness Of Friendsip There can be no price placed on Friendship It has once been told. For Friendships are worth far more than gold.
