I love any kind of arts and crafts (you should see my stash of supplies. Need beeswax? Yarn? Glue? I got it all), scrapbooking, designing, PATTERNS (a little obsession of mine). Tristan likes Naruto, Yu-gi-oh, fighting with light sabers, and reading. Anya is a girly girl who loves shoes (or foos as she calls them). And Dora, Princesses, and mermaids.
Music
Tristan loves to rock (especially AC/DC), Anya loves anything with a jumpy beat. And Barney. I have to listen to "apples and bananas" three times a flipping day. Larry likes "Barbie Girl." I like mostly anything EXCEPT pop, and pop country.
Movies
Star Wars (especially V, then III), any Harry Potter, musicals (she-poopy, she-poopy, she-poopy the girl is hard to get!) The Big Lebowski, anything by Tim Burton.
Tristan will read anything you give him. I love J.K. Rowling, Stephen King, J.R.R. Tolkien, Anne Rice, and so on. Anya is into board books.
Heroes
I think we tend to use this word a little too easily--for instance, the show "Higglytown Heroes" on the Disney Channel. Cute show, but a kid gets gum in his hair and suddenly the barber is a hero for cutting it out. WTF? He's just doing his job! It takes a lot to be a hero, more than what most people have in them. Okay, I'll get off my soapbox now.
