The Willkommen Collective is the name given to the group of players who play in Shoreline, Sons of Noel and Adrian, the Leisure Society, Atlas Crease, Laish Quartet, Kopek, Kristin McClement, The Climbers, Redwood Red and the Miserable Rich.
Welcome to the first Willkommen Records event at Coachwerks in Brighton. Located just off Lewes Road, on Hollingdean Terrace, this is a beautifully converted industrial space and now an inspiring and spacious venue. With a white décor and a very inexpensive bar we look forward to hosting a series of exciting folk and experimental musical events here.
Noiserv is the name given for Portugeuse musical mastermind, David Santos. Compared to Juana Molina, David Thomas Broughton and Jose Gonzalez, he creates a hypnotising and emotionally engaging atmosphere, looping the sounds of the room, xylophone, guitar, melodica, harmonica and keyboards. With a strong singing voice akin to Beirut or Sigur Ros, he is surely a rising star. His startling debut album, One Hundred Miles From Thoughtlessness, is released on the excellent Autumn Ferment Records.
Woodpecker Wooliams , also recently released on Autumn Ferment Records, is a charming one woman experimentalist. With an extraordinary bag of tricks, employing vocals, kora, celtic harp, clarinet, harmonium, glockenspiels and whistles, she conjures bewitching freeform lo-fi chants and sings folk songs of mystery and secrecy.
Redwood Red is Cathy Cardin. She is the feminine touch to Willkommen favourites Sons of Noel and Adrian and Laish Quartet. With her grounded and pure vocal delivery, she interweaves a unique fingerpicking guitar style with double bass and flute. This is a rare live outing for Redwood Red and one not to be missed.

Grouper (US) has her latest – Dragging A Dead Deer Up A Hill – of three albums on Type Records. She has also been involved in collaborative releases, contributing a track to Xiu Xiu’s Remixed & Covered and four tracks to a split release with Inca Ore. Her other contemporaries are Belong, Growing, Tim Hecker, Windy & Carl and Atlas Sound.
Jasper TX (Sweden), with a hefty back-catalogue of releases on labels such as Miasmah, and collaborations with buddy Machinefabriek, is an essential domestic appliance in the household of conceptual music. He is comparable to artists Fennesz, Sigur Ros, Múm and Tape.
Intricate and atmospheric songsmith, Danny Saul (UK) performs with different combinations of musicians, making each gig a unique event. His forthcoming release is "Harsh, Final", and he also performs with Greg Haines as Liondialer.
Fieldhead (UK) music delights in tape hiss, bleak landscapes and decaying analogue loops. He is also a member of The Declining Winter and Glissando. His debut album, "They Shook Hands for Hours" is released soon on Home Assembly.
Trespassers William (Seattle, US) are the duo of Matt Brown and Anna-Lynne Williams. "Subliminally sublime and pragmatically perfect, you would have to possess an ashtray for a heart not to feel this coursing through your soul" (DSD Music Magazine). A new EP, The Natural Order of Things, is set to be released on Gizeh Records. They will make a church performance with special guests.
Glissando (Sheffield, UK) “have the kind of atmosphere that can captivate and relax in equal measure- never before has tranquillity sounded so urgent. While track lengths of over 10 minutes may fail to hold the attention of the ADHD sufferers among us, with patience it plays like a majestic dream. And it's one you'll never want to wake up from." NME
Operations (Chris Anderson) is a Manchester based conceptual music producer and sound artist. He performs and records with an array of analog synths and effects, reel-to-reel tape and casette players, and guitars. Followers of Tim Hecker, Slowdive, Fennesz, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Stephen O'Malley, Type and 12K Records will surely nod in approval.

It's been a couple of months since the Orgone Accumulators - Wilhelm Reich And Roll EP was presented to the general public and since then the Fifth Neuro Orgone Research Department has been a hive of activity. The research into the alien communications from Sirius has been incredibly successful and we can now announce the publication of the past few months results:-
ORGONE ACCUMULATORS - GOOD ADVICE EP
Four more tracks of sci fi surf techno including a version of Walk Don't Run by The Ventures. As we already know, many of these communications were beamed from the past and The Ventures certainly must have had some knowledge of how to intercept and translate them. We still haven't worked out how Chet Atkins came to be the first person to translate that particular alien communication as there does not seem to be any hint of ESP or suchlike in the rest of his catalogue. If anyone does have any theories please get in touch with us. Walk Don't Run is, of course, a fine piece of advice and it turns out that the other recently translated Sirius communications are also instructions on how to lead a better life - Don't Panic, Keep Calm And Carry On and Never Whistle While You're Pissing. All fantastic pieces of good advice.
