That sux ya'll closed. I live in Mesa & the other Coffee house that was da bomb was Coffee Talk in dwntwn Mesa. NOW,..it's run by these women from Idaho w/their pants pulled up to their nips filled w/Highlights Magz & Coloring Books & shuts down at like 8:00PM. I think all they serve is Apple Cider. All the character is gone. Last wk I was driving up 3rd Ave & McDowell & I saw these 2dudes at the old Willow House & they looked like the Principal on Southpark. "Okay kids,...we can't play too loud now okay?" FRIGGIN LAMBE-OHS!!!!
What is wrong with this world when an fun independent business is left to die while soul sucking corporate juggernauts flourish? I heard a rumor that the new owners of the old location were going to sue you for the rights to the name "The Willow House", did that have anything to do with this travesty? I'm so sorry. Another chapter in Phoenix's history has closed. Shame on us for letting it happen.
Maybe you could keep this profile running as a tribute to the spirit of the joint... Leave it active so cool people can find other cool people & do things that cool people do... Just a thought.
