‘To compare this album to Ed Harcourt, Richard Ashcroft and Jeff Buckley all thrown in a blender would not do justice to this earnest, stylish collection of well thought-out songs… an excellently produced, flawlessly performed and marvellously written record’ – Sandman

My name's Will, I'm a musician and singer / songwriter from Wakefield. Having played in various bands over the years, I've just self released my debut album as a solo artist, “Ready To Talk Now”. I recorded the album myself at Diamond Studios and there's a few guest appearances from a few fab friends of mine. These include guitar, mandolin bass and keys by Ric Neale, backing vocals by Jill Birtwhistle and Sarah Amato (my better half), then there's some slide guitar by Mike Poole and electric guitar by John Sutherden.

Hi Will, Many thanks to you and the band for performing a very classy set for us on 25th July. Great sound. The Will Richards Band is one of a current rare breed that has performed at all three Crown of Lights platforms - The Band Nights then the Acoustic Nights and now the Festival itself. Well Done! Donal.
Stormed it once again at the festival on Saturday with a great set. Sounded really good (even if I do say so myself!) and everyone seemed to be digging the tunes (can I still say that these days??). Many, many thanks for the generous offer regarding CD sales. It's very much appreciated.
Hope to have you back at a band night if you're up for it.
A massive 'thank you' for playing our band night on Friday. Brilliant set once again. You just get better and better and the tunes just speak for themselves. Outstanding.
Very much looking forward to your spot at the Heckmondwike festival. See you there.
