As far as music goes, I have listened to, and loved Willie Nelson since 1964, back when I used to sit in the Nighthawk, at 19th & Guadalupe just South of UT, and listen to him on one of those little remote juke boxes they had sitting on each booth! Jay Johnson; Brian Burns; Ray Wylie Hubbard; Billy Joe Shaver; Merl Haggard; James McMurtry; Tom Russell; Fred Eaglesmith; Steve Earl; Charlie Robison; Rusty Weir; Leon Russell and the whole gang into the Americana/Texas Red Dirt Music, are also my heros! (There are just to many to recall at one time). I guess James McMurtry would have to be my favorite of all, (Except for Willie), Man he can really write some awesome songs! If you've never heard his stuff, do yourself a favor & check him out! I am also an old Long Haired Hippie that grew up through the 50/70's that has listened to and loved: The Big Bopper; Chuck Berry; Jerry Lee; Eric Burton; Mic Jaggar; ZZ Top; and the whole bunch from that erra! Also, I am influenced by the Lord above, the World around me, & inspired all of my great friends the Good Lord has given to me. Also, sitting on my deck in the Texas Hill Country at dawn, drinking coffee, & watching the new day unfold ain't to bad!!
