Someone that knew Bruce's skill personaly responded to my question "If Bruce were ressurrected today at top health, how would he do in the UFC?" and one responded "Bruce would clean house!"
I think definitely for stand up and grappling he was ahead of his time. I would say that he might need a refresher on updates to grappling, but then he'd be on top.
My purpose really isn't about fighting. I do believe that the highest level of fighting is healing and peace making after one learns how to fight at the highest level.
I'm just not about an intense life of fighting. I like qigong practice because of my metaphysical/occult interests. However, I really do think that every martial artist should be familiar with new developments in fighting so that if they do get taken to the ground, they're not like a fish out of water.
Yeah, your right on. Whenever I can afford it, I'm going to order from Paladin your dvds because I've seen the previews on youtube and your flow is right on!

Something about supposed anonymity seems to being out the worst in people - I'm careful which chat rooms I go to. (Barry's is safe, LOL) Yahoo is full of sicko types trolling... :-)

Take the best of both worlds I say. I want to learn internal Taoist martial arts from a Wudang monk for learning about Taoism and internal energy practice. I do admit that that might not have all of the best answers for today's new developments on combat. That's why it's so easy to also add in a little training (for at least familiarity if we're not going to go into the cage) of BJJ, wrestling, Boxing, etc. Is say that for real comnbat, stick with the easy more sure fire stuff to fall back on. Practice the more complex stuff for the sake of art and if you able to pull it off in a real match/fight then "PRAISE THE LORD!" All of the internal energy development and such I have my beliefs for doing but I wont claim that it is going to make me more effective as a fighter (it could but I won't front that). I will say to disbelievers that I do qigong because it's relaxing and feels good. They can't argue with that.
I always also maintain that qi could be not real either. I personally believe it does exist but say "But I could be wrong." This is what I would say to the "Bullshido.com" guys.

I'm particularly interested in the Taoist Religion and practices. This is why I like to learn tai chi chuan, hsing i, etc, but also learn how to grapple and box to stay up with the mma guys. Why not?!
See, this bothers me why some closed minded people have to polarize to one side and talk trash about the other.
This is what I like about your style. You practice the internal arts and also know how to roll and punch. I am going to buy your paladin dvds some day because I've seen the flow on the demo videos and it's what I feel is right.
Awesome flow!

(Or enjoy the end of your weekend if you haven't made it to Monday yet!)
I have a new interview up at Bookwenches: We discuss killerbyte, new projects, music, and death threats...
