"Relative newcomers WINE & REVOLUTION offer six gritty garage pop tunes by way of introduction on "EDWARD THE MAGNIFICENT". The local quartet bops and weaves in all the right places, revisiting the 1960's mod scene on "Eager to Sail" and "Coming Attraction", even as catchy as "Left Up to the Sea" tackles the modern romance of FRANZ FERDINAND."---Austin Powell of the AUSTIN CHRONICLE
"Retro garage rock that instantly grabs your attention. Just try and stay standing still."-www.austinsoundcheck.com
"Wine & Revolution.R&B just like the Kinks and the Small Faces and some band called the Who used to make. When those cats made it, they called it 'freakbeat.' When these Austinites make it, we call it 'the sort of mannered yet oddly pleasant garage pop that seems right at home at one of Austin's best small clubs."---austin360.com
"Wine and Revolution, a smoothly strummy group whose sound would not feel out of place in the early sixties--they even mix in occasional whistling."---austinist.com
"Wine And Revolution plays slightly more roughed-up garage sound that’s good for when the chaperones have gone home."---theonion.com

There’s a sort of general consensus that fans and music reviewers have when it comes to Austin-based garage rock-pop quartet Wine and Revolution. The band pairs rough, raw edges with those distinctive pop rhythms and beats that are the essence of 60s dance parties - and it’s all absolutely irresistible.
If you haven’t seen them live, catch them tonight at The Mohawk, 912 Red River, on the inside stage. Opening the show is Mitch Calvert’s band of fabulous indie popsters International Waters. Very cool double bill, kids. It all begins around 9 p.m.-ish. Don’t miss out.
