I was born in Sheffield, England, however I spent most of my youth in the SF Bay Area, California (dual citizen). I moved to Vienna, Austria at the end of the dot com era (2000) to do advertising design for skiresorts, hotels, tourism and other alpine sport industries in Austria, Italy, Switzerland, France, and Germany. Have I mentioned the vintage that I love over all other wine, the Nebbiolo of Barolo & Barbaresco? A highly potent yet elegantly constructed style of vino found in the Langhe Roero valley of Piemonte near Alba (famous for their white truffles), south of Torino, Italy.

My Florentine family Coat of Arms.
The Nardi family (my grandmother) can be traced back to the begining of the 13th century in Firenze, Italy.
Château de Boussargues, Colombier, France.
A the end of last June (2006) I stayed at the Château de Boussargues, a 12th century Roman castle just outside the wine region of Châteauneuf du Pape in the Southern Rhône of France. A dream of mine that came true.
During that week in June, I was married under the van Goghesque Southern Rhône sun to my lovely fiancee Tatiana. The present chapel dates from the 12th century. It is registered as an historic monument and was the subject of a remarkable restoration at the end of the 20th Century. It was constructed by replacing an older edifice probably of the Carolingian period, of which one finds traces at the level of the base of the different from those used in the 12th century. It is also very likely that this first Carolingian chapel was even erected on the spot of one of the Roman cult structures.
