About me:

Here I am the Dauphine, but to the world my name is Allison. I call myself names that I find to be poetic. My soul tends to run deep. I enjoy reading, writing, and just being myself. I am a philosopher on my good days and an empiricist on others. My family is my life and my friends are my family. I live with my boyfriend of 3 and 1/2 years, Patrick. I am indeed truly lucky to have my soulmate in my best friend.

Who I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet interesting people in which to have interesting conversations with. I am convinced that Johnny Depp and I would be great friends if I ever had the chance to meet him. I'd also like to meet Anne Rice. A wonderful writer from the heart and soul of Louisiana. It isn't often good talent worth appreciating comes from our southern estate.

I didn't? Ooops, my bad. :) I cry every time I watch it when Angel dies. It's just too sad. :( And the part when Mimi and Roger are singing "Without You". I don't cry when Mimi comes back all drug addled and dying, but I cry at the "Without You" song. (Matt's hilarious because he'll sing along on "Take me owww-oooooooooot tonight!" He howls.)

Yeah, I watched it, like, the day after we got home from Laffy. I love that movie. I'm going to see if Matt's dad, Mr. John, will make a copy for me. (He is the DVD burning king. :)) R+J has got one of my all-time favorite songs on the soundtrack. Matt actually watched it with me. He didn't love it, but he tolerated it. That's usually the case when I'm watching a "Chick Flick" or something he claims to not want to see. I tell him he's free to go in the other room and watch a different movie or read or something, but he usually just grumbles at me a little and then sits on the sofa next to me and watches whatever I put in. :)

    Boys... :)

Oh, I forgot to tell you. Matt was actually in Laffy on Monday night working on resets on the Lowe's there. I was going to tell you so you and Pat could go and bug him, but I completely forgot.

We need to start figuring out when you and Pat are coming in to town for New Moon (and my birthday too :))!

New Moon comes out on the 20th. I'd like to, but it's not necessary for me to see it opening weekend. Also, it comes out the weekend before Turkey Day, so I'll probably get most of the week off if you guys wanted to come in during the week. I don't think Matt will be able to take off during the week though.

Haha, I'll let her know. :)

It's a division of NPS (National Product Services) called "Impact." Right now what he's working on is re-sets at all the different Lowe's in the area.  You know how when you go to Lowe's they have the wall of light fixtures to display the different styles they carry? Well, that's what he's doing. Taking down the old displays and putting up the new ones. Tuesday and Wednesday he was working across the lake but today he got to work in Covington. And one of his best friends works for the company, he actually got Matt the job,  so he gets to work with him sometimes which he enjoys. Despite stabbing himself with a drill yesterday (his own stupid fault) he really seems to like the job.

Hey Allie, I miss you very much and I just wanted to see how you are doing?  Love ya!
  • Aug 17 2009 11:00 PM

Haha, you're so generous, but I'm giving it to Matt's mom.
  • Aug 15 2009 3:45 AM

Well, that's what friends are for. :P

It would indeed be an iPhone. It's got a hot pink case. :D Matt got a new phone too (not an iPhone -  an LG Vu) and we're finally on the same plan and his voicemail works and everything. :) I've been meaning to get our plans consolidated for, literally, years. So I'm glad I finally did. And Matt's voicemail has been broken for at least 2 years.  You could record messages, but it didn't do any good because he couldn't listen to them.  So I'm really glad we got that mess taken care of.

Haha, did you get to see all the, uh, glorious blue cockitude? Matt was disappointed that there were more "junk" than "pillows". Boys... :)

Ok, I was concerned that you had a mysterious private blog. I'm a very curious creature and I would have bugged you to let me read it. :P

Oh well. No offense to Nick because he's awesome, but mostly I'm looking forward to seeing you.

They seem to be having more and more "tax free" sales. I remember when Matt worked selling for Campo, they always had a "tax free" thing going on.

(BTW, the last time you saw me was when you and Patty were in town for a graduation that you didn't attend. :))

Arrtoo? As in Arrtoodeetoo? You're letting Pat name the pets? :)
  • Jul 9 2009 7:33 PM

Aww... I'm so sorry Allie. :( If Kazoo has gone to the big fishtank in the sky by the time I get there we'll go pick out a Banjo.
  • Jul 8 2009 4:16 PM

Jeez, $500 is kinda steep. I don't blame you for waiting.
  • Jun 29 2009 4:10 PM

Haha, well tell me what you think of it. :)

I really think you'd like the novels that True Blood is supposedly based on. The first book in the series is "Dead Until Dark."
  • Jun 22 2009 3:46 PM

    Good! :)
  • Jun 17 2009 4:11 PM

    I see it just fine.
  • Jun 14 2009 4:28 PM

You should definitely add the bumper sticker app. like I have. It's cute. :)

What? Choose what weekend we come out? Well, as much as I want to see you guys, it might be better if we came out in August. What did I say? the 8th and 9th? Just because it would give us time to bring the fuzz-butts to their grandparents, dog-sit Sassy, come out to Laffy then pick up aforementioned fuzz-butts from the grandparents. I think that way I won't feel rushed and overwhelmed like, "OMG! I have so much to do so soon!" You know? And it would give you time to decompress from school.

I stole the butterfly from one of my friend's friends. :) Copy and paste! I think it's pretty too!
  • Jun 12 2009 3:56 PM

Just so long as you're sure - I don't want to mess up your study sched. for school.

What theater will we be seeing the movie at? When it gets closer to the time, I'll want to pre-order my tickets on Fandango or something.
  • Jun 11 2009 3:42 PM

    Haha, I guess? I'll ask Matt. :)

HP comes out on July 15th (according to my mum). We still prolly won't be coming out until the end of the month though. It'll give us time to get the ferrets to their "grandparents" and to arrange for someone to feed Jubilee while we're gone.

Here's the preview! I'm so excited! Click HERE for preview!
  • Jun 11 2009 7:35 PM

Mom says it comes out July 15th.
  • Jun 11 2009 6:47 PM

Ok, so we have to dog-sit Sassy for my mom the last week of July because her and Merritt are going to NC. Since the weekends of July 25th and August 1st are a no-go (because Mom hasn't told me definitely when they're leaving or getting back), you tell me which weekend would be better for Matt and I to visit: July 18th & 19th OR August 8th & 9th.

Either is fine with us. We'll probably be dropping the kids off at the grandparents' on July 11th and picking them up mid-August.
  • Jun 1 2009 7:10 PM

I figured we'd come into Laffy to see HP sometime this summer after it comes out (if that's okay with you) and then in November you can come back to Covington for New Moon and my birthday. :)
  • Jun 1 2009 5:42 PM

Dare I hope that the New Moon movie will be better than Twilight one?

At least the trailer is better. New Moon trailer
  • May 20 2009 5:50 PM

Yeah, it's the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga. TNAqua.org

It's a really nice aquarium. It's also got an IMAX.
  • May 13 2009 4:00 PM

Haha, I'll let her know. :)

So y'all plan on moving back to the Northshore eventually? Yay!

BTW, we got our water fixed, but things are so messy at the condo and there's no way we can get it together in time for you and Pat so y'all will be staying at my mom's house with us. :)
  • May 10 2009 5:27 AM
