I most enjoy writing, digital photography, reading, camping, hiking, bowling. I belong to two local writer's groups. Oh, and I love sunsets and forests!
Music
I like many artists and styles of music. My favorite song of all time is "I Finally Found Someone" Barbara Streisand. It's 'Our Song.'
Movies
I own more than 600 movies across many genre. That should tell you enough.
Television
Don't watch it. I have 600 movies. ..
Books
I read 50 to 100 books a year. Don't get me started. My favorite authors include, but are not limited to: Alastair Reynolds, Neil Gaiman, Tom Clancy, J.A.Jance, Tony Hillerman, Tom Clancy, Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Dave Barry, J.K.Rowling, Greg Bear, Tess Gerritsen, Frank Peretti, The Prophet Isaiah.
Heroes
In this era of fallen giants, it's difficult to choose a hero. My idea of a hero is the person who keeps on doing their job in spite of a lack of recognition or reward, just because it's the responsible thing to do.

Dallas Ah .. Thanksgiving. The worst night of the year for a newspaper carrier ... and I have 60 of them to get out the door. Posted at 4:24 AM Nov 23 view more
About me: I am a District Manager for a local newspaper Distribution Company, an editor and Procedures Manager for an online E-Zine (http://www.theroseandthornezine.com). I write fiction, nonfiction, and poetry.
I enjoy word-play, and am a punster to the point of exasperation for some. I also love to try new styles and forms of writing. You'll never pin me down, Muahahahhaha!
For ten years I worked in an area on AOL called The Novel Site: first as a Contest Judge, then a Board Manager, then Training Manager, then finally as the Area Manager. That area no longer is active, except for a few die-hard friends who gather in chat rooms for shared critique.
Where authors and readers come together!
Dallas, do you have any idea what a class act you are -or- how much I adore you?
Thank you for your kind words. I am not sure I like the piece, which is why I posted it, I am hoping to learn something from the remarks it receives. I am not sure it is clear in it's meaning.
I have been in a brain pinch since my journal was stolen. I am pushing through it but it's not pretty! ~laughs~
