Sgt. David Alan Davis
DALHART - Sgt. David Alan Davis, 28, died Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009, in Bagram, Afghanistan.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church by Horizon Funeral Home.
David Alan Davis was born March 4, 1981, to Roy Bernard Davis and Vicky Lynn Williamson in Dumas. He was raised in the Conlen area and in Dalhart and graduated from Dalhart High School in 2000. During high school and after graduation, he worked at United Supermarket until he enlisted in the Army. David had been to Iraq twice and was on a year tour in Afghanistan. He was stationed at Fort Carson, in Colorado Springs, Colo.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Billie Williamson; and an uncle, Kenny Williamson.
Survivors include his wife, Devon Davis; a daughter, Liberty Davis of Colorado Springs; a son, Dustin Davis of Hereford; a stepdaughter, Audrianna Shempert of Colorado Springs; three stepsons, Tristan Bayless, Montana Bayless and Dylan Bayless, all of Colorado Springs; his father, Bernard Davis of Dalhart; his mother, Vicky Williamson of Dalhart; a brother, Roy Lynn Davis and wife Christina of Dalhart; his grandparents, Darrell Williamson and Alene and Hoyt Davis, all of Dalhart; several nieces and nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.

Smoking a joint when a little lizard walks past and looks up and says:
"Hey Koala! What are you doing?"The koala says, "Smoking a joint, come up andhave some."So the little lizard climbs up and sits next tothe koala and they have a few joints. After a while the little lizard says his mouthis 'dry' and he is going to get a drink from the river.
But the little lizard is so stoned that he leans too far over and falls into the river.A crocodile sees this and swims over to the little lizard and helps him to the side, then asks the little lizard: "What's the matter with you?"
The little lizard explains to the crocodilethat he was sitting smoking a joint with the koala in the tree, got too stoned and then fell into the river while taking a drink.
The crocodile says he has to check this out and he walks into the rain forest, finds the tree where the koala is sitting finishing the joint,and he looks up and says "Hey you!" The koala looks down at him and says:
"Fuuuccccckkkk duuuude.......how much water did you drink?!!
