What-ho! For the next Three Thursdays (starting tonight) we've got our favourite band WINNERS playing at 8pm at The Enterprise. Every week at 9pm we have the wonderful modernist/northern soul sound of cheeky chappies VINNY VINNY. Each week we have a different headliner. Tonight (14TH)we're wecoming the melodic phsych sounds of the highly acclaimed band THE HIGH WIRE. Next week (21ST) you can "get on one" and "haaaaaave eeeet " with Londons finest exponents of Baggy SOL DEVIOUS. The final headliner of the run is SISTER. They are ace. Think a female Eddy Cochrane fronting The Mary Chain and you're half way there. This is the launch party for their new single.
So, surely you're not busy every Thursday night in August; unless you're coming to all of these fabulous gigs!
This Sunday afternoon sees the return of the BUCKET FULL OF BRAINS MAGAZINE SPECIAL at The World's End. This month they've bagged EILEEN ROSE AND THE HOLY WRECK + CASE HARDIN. Starts around 5pm should be great and it's FREE!
There's loads of stuff coming up including a bizzrarro Evening with MORTON VALLENCE at the new Monarch on 23rd of August. But more on that later.
Come along tonight for a beer and a natter and three of the best bands you'll see this year. ..
Didn't know you guys liked The Smoking Popes. Or did I? Born To Quit - all 23 minutes of it - is a classic, which for various reasons I;m currently without - hint hint. I bought about ten copies of that album over the years for mates etc. See ya soon Tim

Mama Shamone http://www. myspace. com/mamashamone “Put Mama Shamone on at any venue and they are likely to take the roof off, this was one of the best live shows I’ve seen in years - certainly one of the best in London. In my opinion these guys are destined for greatness, it felt like I was witnessing history being shaped-something was just so right about what they were doing up there.” Vibe Bar
We Yes You No www. myspace. com/weyesyouno “We Yes You No sing about the end of the world, the end of everything. But in an apocalypse that would sound like this I would buy god’s last EP” – Big City Redneck
Language http://www. myspace. com/languageuk “"The verbosity of funk, the poetic twang of intelligent pop. The bridge between Franz Ferdinand and Smashing Pumpkins perhaps" – Bugbear
