Winston’s Garden is a night dedicated to educating the masses about the lighter side of the explosive sound that is Dubstep.
Headlining the night will be DJs from the well-traveled “Anti-Social Entertainments Collective”. Winston’s Garden are lucky enough to be able to name the Anti-Social crew as monthly residents at HiFi, given that they also hold down residencies at genre-defining nights DMZ, FWD and Subdub, and have played in over 10 different countries this year.
Now for the first time in London, Winston’s Garden is coming to the Gramaphone E1, for a night full of pure heavyweight Dubstep sounds.
SILKIE & CONQUEST
Antisocial Entertainments' SILKIE & CONQUEST are headlining Augusts’ instalment of Winston's Garden in a back to back style live Dj set.
SILKIE & CONQUEST have long been hailed as rising dubstep stars but recent times have seen them regularly placed in the same bracket as the top producers within the scene. They are at the forefront of the dubstep sound carving deep, melodic, fresh and soulful music that often leave other dubstep producers in awe. With their own distinctive flair and swing to each beat, you know when you hear one of their tracks on a set. CONQUESTS first release "Hard Food" was championed by some of the scene’s big names such as Mala (Digital Mystikz) and Skream. SILKIE'S "Cyberdub" was released earlier this year on Skreams Disfigured Dubz label and is still receiving heavy club rotation. SILKIE & CONQUEST are currently signed to Mala's Deep Medi label and we have seen big releases from them already this year with both CONQUEST'S "Seafront/Deep inside" and SILKIE'S "I said/Hobby" riding high in the dubstep sales chart. Having just returned from a two week Deep Medi U.S.A tour SILKIE AND CONQUEST are currently hard at work in the studio creating more magic for all the dubstepper's out there!
J5 & RAZOR
While SILKIE & CONQUEST will be playing a set full of pure exclusive Antisocial tracks, Dj's J5 and RAZOR will be educating the public on the freshest sounds from across all sides of the whole scene. J5 and RAZOR are the Antisocial Dj's and currently hold down a prime time set on Rinse FM. They are known for their swift mixing style and excellent tune selection as they cover all corners of the dubstep sound. Their pod casts from their show are downloaded weekly by thousands of fans who can't get through the week without their fix of the Antisocial sound.
JOE DUBZ
Winston's Resident DJ/Producer JOE DUBZ will be seducing you with a set full of classic dubstep sounds, featuring old and new material from some of the scenes top producers. He has played out to great reviews in both Leeds and London and his set will be one to get things moving so don't forget your gun finger!
SICK REBEL
For the first time Winston welcomes London based producer SICK REBEL down to the garden to showcase material from his record label blood tribe recordings. His style has been described as being futuristic and extremely well mastered. His sound is one of electro influenced riffs and break beat style drums with a lot of attention to detail. With his debut release "Regrets/Haze" storming into the download and vinyl charts things are looking promising for SICK REBEL. This set will be one for the tech heads out there.

Don’t be the one reading DJ Mag next year claiming to have heard the names “Anti-Social Entertainment” and “Joe Dubz”, and knowing you haven’t actually heard them in the flesh. Be the one setting the trend and telling your mates who’s hot in the scene, instead of finding out second-hand through Jo Whiley on a wet Wednesday in Wycombe.
