The Toucan club - the most permanent of open mics nights become somewhat of a mecca for everyone involved in the music of the city. Winter later joined on guitar by G.Williams began writing together, performing as a duo. Two years passed gradually finding their own stylee the duo were joined at moments with Sam from 'Prisoners of the Sun' and James Palser on percussion. M. Sounds Like
"Working hard and providing an awesome sound in Cardiff for a few years now, they are Winter & Williams band and their fusion of acoustic beauty with hints of soul and funk will blow you away" (Owen Bowley, The Globe, June 2009) "Funky Jazzy 4 piece. Acoustic Soul and tight riffery give this band a groove that will make your head nod like a jibba jabba..... slick outfit" (James Hassan, Cassette Quality, Feb 2009) "Through creative lyrics and rhythms played on a range of instruments, the Winter & Williams band created a sound that was not only unique to themselves but also provided something that everyone could relate to." (Luke Todd, Oxjam event Organiser, October 2007) "Winter & Williams Band and their smooth, soulful grooves are just what we want coming out of our studio. I wouldn't dream of listening to anything else -they're just too smooth!" (Pete Cottell - General Manager of Clearline studios, 2006) A different approach to acoustic songwriting. Yet still primarily melodic and full of groove.Influences are abound. Without meaning to, there are moments of funk, reggae, alt rock, jazz, folk urban landslide and anything that feels right in the moment. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ....

Hi Winter&Williams
Don't know if you're interested but I'm looking for a headline for next weeks (Sun 10th Aug) Meltdown @ Milgis (in the Yurt) and had been meaning to get in touch with you for some time. Can guarantee £40 and could be more if we get lots in the hat! Would suit your acoustic incarnation (if your still doing that on top of the band) and all the meltdown's we've had here have been gorgeous gigs - there's just someting about a Yurt! Let me know asap.
Best wishes
Paul
