“We were quite simply blown away. It’s an astonishingly fully-realized work.”
--The Bay Bridged p>
“…strong songwriting and an atmospheric feel that have it quickly becoming one of my favorite Bay Area records of the year.”
--KQED Arts & Music p>
“As impressed as I am with this project's sound and songwriting I have to say that I'm
more interested with why the masses aren't simply raving about Peter Stanley and Co.'s
Muddy & White EP. I mean, this stuff is incredible! Perhaps people will come around
whenever their upcoming full length is released?”
--Side One: Track One
" Stanley 's vocals on "Muddy & White" contain a deep, musky slur comparable to The National's Matt Berninger. His lyrical prowess is also comparable."
--Obscure Sound
“A nifty blend of folk, pop noir, and country with enough indie rock and glitchy laptop noise to push it to the front of a crowded alt. folk pack. Bandleader Peter Stanley’s a great story teller with a fresh, arresting voice.”

Winter’s Fall is a Bay Area indie rock band that mixes folk and country
influences with indie-pop sensibilities and explores the subtle
integration of vintage electronics. Formed in late 2006 when songwriter
Peter Stanley reunited with childhood friend Keith Gidlund, Winter’s Fall completed its lineup with Pete Gidlund and Hans Ashlock and shortly
thereafter began playing shows and recording its first release, the lo-fi
“Muddy & White EP”.
In 2008, the band began recording a focused body of work that would become its “Self-Titled” full-length debut, recorded at the famous Grizzly
Studios in Petaluma, California.
Summer of 2008 saw Winter’s Fall release a limited pressing its debut “Self-Titled” full-length and tour the west coast. Winter’s Fall has
matured into a tight, road-tested band with intense, lush performances on
stage, a steady following, and two successful, well-reviewed records under
its belt
