Established through the passions and convictions of loyal music and art fans, the Winter Soulstice Art Jam
serves as a platform to provide local artists and musicians with a venue to display their talents while raising
funds for Atlanta-based non-profit organizations.
The event will combine performances by local music acts
and the works of some of Atlanta’s best up-and-coming artists. The last two year’s events were a success both in
terms of entertainment, and in a sizeable contribution to Atlanta children’s charity Let There Be Music and WonderRoot.
This year’s event will assist in bringing support and resources to WonderRoot's "Creativity For Kids" program, a youth arts-enrichment program. With Creativity for Kids, WonderRoot partners with community organizations and schools that serve low-income and at-risk youth. As funding for arts education is being cut, WonderRoot seeks to fill a void. We believe that arts education is a vital part of a youth's development. Through both in-reach and outreach programs, WonderRoot volunteer artists work with some of Atlanta's youth that are most in need. Whether it be through a music program or a photography exhibition, WonderRoot works with community partners both large and small. We believe that by providing Atlanta's youth with opportunities to create and express themselves, we will offer them a chance to re-imagine their own futures.
WonderRoot is an Atlanta-based non-profit 501(c)(3) organization committed to uniting artists and
community to inspire positive social change.
