Reviews:

History will go down as one of the best bands to hit Orlando in the early 2000s. A powerhouse of modern dynamics and atmospheric wonder, the band recently signed to indie label 24 Hour Service Station. Labelmates win win Winter, from Clearwater, are one of Tampa Bay's success stories of 2007. This is their last local show for a while, so get 'em while the getting's good.
~Tampa Bay Times

win win Winter won over the New World crowd the night before Labor Day, opening for Morningbell. Folks are starting to notice the Clearwater band's passionate vocal, earnest songwriting and luscious pop-rock.
~Julie Garisto, St. Pete Times

To my ears, Win Win Winter's "Baker Ave."'s sound represents but one of the styles this young band has already mastered. can't wait to hear these dudes' upcoming full length!
~Jack Spatafora, aestheticized Presents

Everyones new fav crunchy indie rock act. Dynamic, melodic and inspired. A hell of a live show, not to be missed.

"The New Kings of Tampa"

After what would go on to become one of the greatest "Little Friday's" of my life last night, I've decided to reflect upon some of the events leading up to this not so new phenomena as well giving some major props to the BEST band in Tampa right now. I have grown quite accustomed to the idea of starting every weekend on Thursday night. It makes too much sense for me not to. We could all use an extra day to kick back and act stupid amongst our friends. Usually, I'll throw Guitar Hero on and invite some friends over. Occasionally, a show will pop up and I'll check it out. The latter was the case this past "Little Friday". Win Win Winter has accomplished a lot in a little over half a year, acquiring opening slots for Maritime and Travis Morrison, as well as garnering stage time at the Fest, Anti-Pop and Bang (three of Florida's most recognized music festivals). But a conversation I had with a friend of mine, who incidentally, happens to be one the most influencial and important presences in Tampa's music scene, made me see things from a whole new light. Is the torch being passed? The past two years have seen an amazing rebirth for local music in the bay area. In my opinion, the Candy Bars were one of the greatest acts to grace our city at one point or another. But where the hell have they gone? I'm sure someone knows, and I'm sure they could care less what I think, but I fucking miss them. In their stead some bands I've grown quite fond of in the local scene over the past year and a half include Auto!Automatic!!'s explosive live shows, the haunting pressence of prog-rock duo GreyMarket, and the infectious power pop-punk sound of Select Start. That being said, for my money Win Win Winter is the best local act going right now, and they are just getting started. Last night at New World was amazing, and they were playing for a half-filled room if that in a small (albeit legendary) venue.

Tampa Taiko is a professional drumming duo that has performed their unique style for a vast array of audiences, performing at festivals, concert halls, schools, workshops, summer camps, corporate and VIP events. Using a collection of taiko drums made by themselves from discarded wine barrels, Tampa Taiko has developed a dynamic fusion of old and new styles of drumming, bringing a contemporary vibrance to an ancient martial artform.
