I grew up literally 3 blocks from the original, Pats Steaks in South Philadelphia. –Needless to say, we had our fill of cheese steaks at 2am when I was a kid! Growing up in the inner city, I always craved the quiet calm of the suburbs. I really feel like where I grew up made me who I am…and who I’m not.
Attending city schools and eventually Temple University for Broadcasting, I always had a hand in The Arts. During my childhood, I had roughly 9 years of vocal training, attending the Lyric Opera Theatre of Philadelphia and the Prince Music Theatre of Philadelphia. -Always has been a dream of mine to be on Broadway, though I also crave to study Veterinary Medicine. I would love to go back to school to peruse a V.M.D. but, being a homeowner, I have enough loans for now!! :)
Despite a burning passion for singing and animals, my interest in Broadcasting and Communications took me on a different path in college. I’ve been in radio about 6 years now, the latter 4 of those have been on the air. I loved co-hosting morning drive but I do NOT miss setting the alarm for 3am! Now hosting Mid-days, I get to bed at a decent hour and allow my body to wake up on its own :) If you need help buying or selling a home, I'm also a licensed Realtor in PA. Sidebar: that test IS as hard as they claim it is....Don't have as much time as I'd like to dedicate to my real estate interests at the moment but, I have big plans, haha!
Honestly, I feel like an old soul…I'm not a huge club-goer, though I could tell you stories!! And work has me out many-a-late night anyway so, that's enough for me. I prefer dinner get-togethers with friends and enjoy constructive activities. Whenever I get the chance I play the piano, write songs and attempt to finish another novel on my nightstand. Shopping obviously is a no-brainer...Preferably SHOE shopping! (I need to stop) And hands down, one of my all time favorite things is going to musicals and plays. LOVE Thrills, amusement/water parks, a game of pool or poker, bring it on! LOVE trying all kinds of restaurants/foods at least once! LOOOVE BYOB's, Love the word love (if you haven't noticed already) I've had my heart broken 3 times...Love weekend trips and spontaneity, yet I plan everything else! -Always try to spend more time with my cat Alex. (coolest f'ing cat ever....no, you seriously have no idea) Like to get out and exercise on warm sunny days, power yoga and long walks. I do mixed martial arts as well, minus the cage...for now!...Tackling a new recipe every so often is a goal of mine and I'm currently learning to DJ on the ol’ fashioned vinyl. Randomness consumes me and at times I lose all sense of my volume level. Stilettos, back rubs and seductive fragrances are my weaknesses. Meditation interests me, art, entrepreneurs and politics. I refuse to argue but enjoy a debate. I never want to stop learning. I'm intrigued by those who challenge me and open my eyes to things I've never known.
Something random you wouldn’t know is that I’m a neat freak and thoroughly enjoy cleaning. My friends and family would describe me as: energetic, sarcastic, talkative, passionate, and I'm not proud of this but, occasionally bitchy. (I like to call it opinionated) I may also have been called neurotic.....Good morals though...gotta have those morals!!! No honestly, overall I'm very goal oriented. When I'm set to something I'm completely dedicated, like O.C.D. dedicated...especially when it comes to the whole career thing. Kudos if you made it this far!
