Welcome to Wired for Sound Studios! The only studio and rehearsal space, on the East Coast, between Dundee and Edinburgh.
We are a community based studio and rehearsal space, situated in the heart of Kirkcaldy, upstairs in the salubrious Kirkcaldy YMCA. (Hendry Crescent, Valley Gardens)
We have a fully equipped, industry standard recording studio and 2 fully equipped rehearsal rooms. Our large rehearsal room is a fully monitored system and you will not believe how good it sounds. Students/Jobseekers - £7.50 per hour ( 3 hours for £18 )
The studio is open for recording / rehearsal 7 days per week and being a community resource, our rates are very competitive. Rehearsals cost £10 per hour ( 3 hours for £25 ) and we have great deals for full day rehearsals.
Recording costs from £15 per hour. Discounts are available to charities, community groups, schools, students, jobseekers etc... Not to mention that if you are currently, or choose to become a member of the YMCA youth music initiative, you can reap the benefits of our 50% discount!
If you are looking for 1 or 2 day demo sessions, you’ll be hard sought to find the quality of service for such low prices. If need be (timing depending) we can also accommodate longer projects.
For all those budding DJs out there, we also have a DJ room available for hire and a choice of either CDJ - 1000 MK3 decks, or DENON S5000’s with a DN - X1500 mixer. We have 2 DJs on site to provide assistance and workshops when needed.
We also offer PA Hire and can cater for all your Location Recording or Conference Audio needs.
We have good and long standing experience working with all types of community organisations, providing training packages, taster music sessions, drum workshops, DJ workshops, digital composition and all kinds of funky stuff...

Battle Of The Bands shall be holding a Music Industry Conference on Tuesday the 4th of November @ Kitties Nightclub, Kirkcaldy with doors opening at 3pm.
We hope the Conference and event as a whole will enthuse, inform and enlighten the young people in attendance about Music and the Music Industry and hopefully in turn will encourage them to become a part of their Local Music Scene.
This years Panellist's include: Jim Gellatly (formerly of XFM's X-Posure Scotland, now Radio Scotland-The Music Bed).
Colin Somerville (Journalist Scotland on Sunday, Radio Scotland, former Mercury Music Prize Panellist).
Ritchie Dempsey(Prolific Sound Engineer for Idlewild, Frightened Rabbit, Twiglight Sad, and Drummer for Rock Action signed Purveyors of Noise 'Desalvo').

The conference will be in the form of a Q&A session with panel members, being grilled by our Audience, taking all manner of Music Industry related questions. They should provide a wealth of knowledge on all aspect of the Music Industry for those interested in gaining an insight into the Industry.
