The Wirehouse Band emerged in the fall of 2003 and hails from Central Alabama. Band members Jonathan Barganier (guitar/vocals), Evan Morrison (bass/vocals), and Matt Pavlick (percussion) have been playing in and around the University of Alabama music scene as well as performing at music festivals such as Jubilee Cityfest (Montgomery, AL) for the last three years. The three members broke off from local bands, VNOX & HOY, Congi, and Nautical Mile. After a short break from music, the band reestablished its sound by adding lead guitarist Stephen Lucas. With the addition of Lucas, the band’s sound has come together to provide audiences with a completely original and unique musical experience.
Their music can be described as southern rock with an improvisational edge. Each musician brings their different influences to the table. Barganier grew up listening to bands
such as the Allman Brothers and Government Mule, while Evan Morrison was brought up on bands such as Jimmy Buffett and the Grateful Dead. Lucas is heavily influenced by Pink Floyd
and Phish, while Pavlick grew up on more of a hard rock scene, heavily influenced by bands such as 311 and Incubus.
For two years, Wirehouse Band has developed a very strong and dedicated fan base within the Alabama region. Wirehouse Band always brings out an energetic and dedicated crowd, wherever they play. The band is fortunate enough to attend The University of Alabama, which provides numerous bars and venues for musicians to showcase their talent. Now that they have successfully established a strong fanbase in the Alabama region, Wirehouse Band are ready to take on new territories and play their music for the masses. Wirehouse Band recently finished up recording three songs with major label recording engineer John Kliner. Kliner engineered albums for bands such as Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty, Shania Twain, etc. Also, the band has recently been added to open up for The Black Crowes and Rose Hill Drive at Montgomery Alabama's Jubilee Cityfest over Memorial Day Weekend.
Wirehouse Band are pushing hard to take their music to the next level.
The Wirehouse Band is all about bringing people together for a good time and to provide audiences with an original sound that is pleasing to the ear of the listener.
“The Wirehouse Band is one of the best new college bands in the south. Every time they play at the Booth they pack the house out. They are one of the best southern rock bands I have ever seen play at my bar. I look forward to seeing them play not just because they make my place a lot of money, but I also love their sound.” ~ John Hammock, The Booth (owner)
“The Wirehouse Band is a very energetic southern rock jam band that always brings a big crowd to my venue. They are definitely going in the right direction, and I expect big things to come from them. The crowd always has a great interaction with the band. The Wirehouse Band has a lot of positive energy behind their music and they are always welcome to play at my venue.” Blake, Owner of Boo Radley’s
