"I feel it is our duty to speak on behalf of the band to let you know that Wire Jesus are calling it a day.
We'd like to thank each and every one of you who has stuck with us, come to the gigs and bought our music, but most of all it was the reaction we felt from you that encouraged us to go on for as long as we did. Your messages and comments meant the world to us. There has also been many gracious bands who have told us how much we've influenced them and you can't ask for more than that as a musician.
As any band will tell you, it's a hard slog and we've watched many Reading bands come and go, while we kept evolving. It's time for us to evolve once again into our lives and so with many fond memories we say.....
Adieu.
Love to you all,
Mike & Amy
& Wire Jesus. xx "
"Wire Jesus are special. Very special indeed." Linda Serck bbc.co.uk
"They are a highly impressive group, combining the usual acoustic rock accoutrements with accordions and cellos. If this, along with the male/female lead vocals, suggests an affinity with bands such as the Arcade Fire, then good, as on a number of songs they captured the dramatic tension, musical sophistication and epic aspiration of the Canadian wonders." oxfordbands.com
"Wire Jesus have it all. People call it X-factor and that is perhaps the best description. Somewhere between their emotional intensity, sheer ragged beauty (the best kind), stories of human significance and insignificance and heart wrenching melodies can be found a dominant artistry, a decadent coherency, and above all a very real talent which at the moment burns very bright indeed. Josaka.co.uk
"Success will surely follow." The Morning Star
"Too good to be true. If only it were a fair world we could never afford such a band." Music On The Hill Festival

Hey Froodsters! So at long last the new album “Indigo” is ready and is being released on 16th June. It’s all a bit last minute but we have managed to secure a swanky venue in Soho for a launch party and hope that you can all make it there to help celebrate our second offering.
The new album will be available at the show at a discounted price and we will be joined by at least one other act for the night. The Froods will play an hour set, containing much of the new album and a few “oldies” thrown in too.
The doors open at 7PM and entry price is £FREE, with doors closing at 10pm. The venue is The Green Carnation, 5 Street, Soho.

the mothers ruin podcast episode 3 - ‘i have a real problem with george lamb’
Its that time again, our monthly podcast (sort of) with all the bands coming to or played at the ruin and my rambling ranting self trying to hold it all together.
"I have a real problem with him, he is not even funny, and he know f-all about music. ‘Put him on to it’ I want to put him onto a stake!! I am sorry if you like him but I don’t, he reminds me of Noel Edmonds, I bet he likes all the stuff the NME goes on about and thinks Oasis are cutting edge. Tosser. "
