These are songs written during late nights after gigs, in motels, vans and early mornings in my front kitchen. Mostly live recorded @ Chaos Studios in the music-exploding town of San Diego with a couple mates from a few great bands (John Doe, Grant Lee Phillips, Plimsouls, Ross Golan & Molehead and Abandoned Pools) joining me to be my rythym and magnetize this record in just 3 days. All about relationship, politic, fear, the world around us, hope and discovery...at least that's what's been in my mind all this time.
"I got a copy and got so excited. I just kept thinking, that's it, that's the sound! It's like the sky just opened up..."

This is a man and a band full of contradiction.
The music is deeply personal, somtimes anthemic, self assured and tough. It is equally self desroyed and without confidence.
It swaggers, beats its chest.
Whispers a gentle carress.
To me Wirepony's songs and singing do what so
few do today: they span the full human experience.
Love and loss: vitality and fragility.
A father of the U.K., a farmer by trade; mother an American with deep Southern roots.
The music is as influenced by Woody Gutherie as it is
the Who; it's as diverse as Johnny Cash is to the
Clash.
The words are of Old England, Route 66, King Arthur,
and a still young gold rush California.
This is a band
with a strong command of words and a fullness of
heart. This is music at it's best. This is Wirepony.
you are of deepest inspiration to me my friend ! heart soul spirit loss god hope sadness-utterly engaged. your soul cries to the gods and whispers a gentle refrain.

Crazy adventures in 2007.... Here's to even more in 2008!!
My Wish for You in 2008
May peace break into your house and may thieves come to steal your debts. May the pockets of your jeans become a magnet of $100 bills. May love stick to your face like Vaseline and may laughter assault your lips! May your clothes smell of success like smoking tires and may happiness slap you across the face and may your tears be that of joy. May the problems you had forget your home address! In simple words ........... May 2008 be the best year of your life!!!
