I have played in working bands since the age of 15 years old. One day I decided to blow on the creative embers and build a sound studio. This turned out to be a huge under taking. (I went with digital firewire recording and a laptop) I will have a how-to section on this subject in our "Resources" section.
So, being a web developer these days, I started to research the Internet looking for an affordable solution. The information I found was all over the board. There are many different ways to go. I am almost done with the studio now and look forward to sharing the research and resources with my musical friends.
We also want to highlight different bands and musicians on our "Spotlight" page. Each moth we will feature an article about local performers and help to get the word out about them, where they will appear as well as provide a media player to show case there music. If you would like to be featured on the "Spotlight" please send me the following:
- Band or Musicians bio(s).
- General information (History)
- Link to your website
- Photos
- Sample music (mp3 format)
- Upcoming shedule of appearances

This year's Wisconsin Area Music Industry Hall of Fame Inductees, The Bodeans, have announced that they will be performing the closing set of this year's Awards Show.
That's right, The Bodeans! When it comes to legendary Wisconsin acts, few bands have had the impact and staying power of The Bodeans. Fewer still have captured that quintessential Midwest vibe that we all love and appreciate. Coming off the heels of their brand new release which has enjoyed a host of critical acclaim and airplay, we're absolutely stoked to have one of Wisconsin's best-ever-acts take the stage.
You don't want to miss this year's show. With acts like Reverend Raven and the Chain Smokin' Altar Boys, Farenheit 420, and Fever Marlene blowing minds and melting faces, and setting the stage for The Bodeans to rip...GnO from The Toys as emcee...Turner Hall Ballroom in all its timeless, rockin' glory...and of course the people (you) in attendance--It's going to be a fantastic event.
Get your tickets while they last!!!
See you on Monday, April 28th at Turner Hall. See wamimusic. com for details.
Can't guess that I am on the WAMI awards committee, can you? *grin*
