  • Bio

18 years after playing their final gig, the original Willie Wisely Trio reunites for a new album & tour dates. Four years in the making, "True" captures the enduring chemistry of this road-warrior band, giving fans their most joyous, wild-eyed album yet. The Trio released its first cassettes in 1989 & 1990 and their first full-length in 1992. They toured the USA incessantly--building a following for their unusual blend of rockabilly, 60's pop, cocktail nation, Captain Beefheart and The Beatles. The group broke up in 1993 but has maintained its quirky chemistry, evident in spades on the forthcoming album entitled "True". As a solo artist Wisely has continued to build a formidable catalog–– releasing albums, touring the US and Japan and producing records for other artists, including comedian Andy Dick. Wisely's music is often referred to as 'evocative pop' and has been compared to Ron Sexsmith, Elliot Smith, Donovan and Paul McCartney.
