Influences

A few names: Lucinda Williams, Tracy Chapman, Buddy & Julie Miller, Prince, David Bowie, Velvet Underground and REM. We are inspired by living in the world, paying attention, people of substance, other people, love, the south, anger, mountains, happiness, swamps, family, alienation, melancholy, art, chocolate, voices, politics, travel, confusion, economics, friendship, movies, storytellers, books . . . maybe YOU! -
Sounds Like
dirt and sky . . . blue and brown . . . hope and disappointment . . . gritty folky rocking alternative country . . . gal sangin' over geetars clangin' . . .

Bound To - 2010 CD
Album Reviews
The Nashville based duo are offering up ten tracks of no frills, superior quality, country tinged folk rock, Brian handling the arrangements, engineering, production, mixing and mastering as well as playing electric and acoustic guitar, bass and drums, Regina providing the lyrics, vocals, photography, design and acoustic guitar. -Beat Surrender
This Nashville duo . . . kicks out sophisticated songs that bridge the whole blues-americana-country-rock arc. The chords come from the blues, the construction from rock and the sensibility is somewhere out in the meadow. Well written and performed even better. I'm thinking I'll be liking this a lot more as the days roll by. -Aiding & Abetting
With the sound from Regina's steamy voice and the skilled guitar play from Brian, 'Bound To' will swallow your ears. Wishpenny has made great record, which is genuine, natural and rough! -Alt Country Forum
"Simple, lo-fi and intriguing” might be the most appropriate summary of this deserving first record by these two do-it-yourselfers. -Rootstime.be
