In 2002, realizing that the power/thrash metal band he was currently a part of wasn't fulfilling his musical needs, Henry decided to pursue black thrash. In 2005, getting together with bassist Tommy, they decided to form a three piece Venom tribute band. In search for a drummer, they came up empty handed. A few months later they met Getsemani, who would become they're lead guitarist and who would also introduce them to drummer Raymon. Witching Hour was formed playing all originals written by vocalist/guitarist Henry. Soon they realized the name was taken and changed it to something similar. Witchaven was born, recording their first demo, Vehemence of Attack, in late 2006 only a weeks after being formed. In January 2007, their second demo, Black Thrash Assault, was recorded. In June 2007, because of personal and musical differences Witchaven's line up changed.with new guitarist, Jerry, bassist, David, and drummer, Rony, Witchaven continued to progress with a new demo entitled Faces of Death and played lots of shows. after a few months, conflict with Rony and his busy schedule forced the band to split with the drummer and Lerby was asked to join the band.Immediately the band went on a west coast tour with hatchet and recorded a full length cd set to be released in September or October. But the release was delayed for the band was unsatisfied with the way the album was produced and mixed by the engineer. So witchaven goes to the studio once more to record the album correctly but David parted ways with the band before they could record a note.
NOW witchaven is still in the studio and are embarking on a FULL US TOUR THIS MARCH 2009
