About With Intent

With Intent is a local Charleston band, comprised of five individuals who have come together for a common purpose, to ROCK CHARLESTON!!! Band members are: J.C. - Lead vox / keyboards, EVãD - Lead guitar / vox, James - Rhythm guitar, Just Josh - Bass guitar, Big Rob - Drums With Intent is currently playing in your local bars and music venues, bringing you some of the best original music that local bands have to offer. Our style is heavily influenced by 90s rock and alternative with touches of hard rock and pop styling. A great song doesn't have to be over-the-top flashy and 30 minutes long to showcase talent, it just has to get under your skin, in your head and make you want to rock until you can't think of anything else! It is our goal to provide you with the theme music for living life and enjoying every minute.

Rep your city, do a good ande remember a fallen Chucktown hardcore soldier!!! We're gonna be celebrating the live of a Father, Son, Brother, HUsband, Soldier Musician and hardcore kid Sam Rateb. Keep it real Charleston, help us out and make an appearance. Two Steps Back's Triumphant Return June 13 at The (Br)Oasis!!! The 2nd Annual Sameer Rateb Memorial Benefit: 6/13/2009 8:00 PM at The Oasis Folly Road, James Island, South Carolina Cost: 8 bucks over 21 10 under Two Steps Back, Red Skies Ahead, Penalty Box, 25 Ta Life, A Minor Mistake, Path Of Reprisal, Sunday Melee. Proceeds go to the USO’s Operation USO Care Package... Let’s show the troops some punk/hardcore love!!! If you're a local promoter or in a local band it would be a real help for you guys to spread the word and possibly to make an appearance. Let's show the world Charleston Hardcore cares about the world... Background Info: Sameer formed Two Steps Back with Ian and Matt like 8-10 years ago (thanks to prodding from Megan Bowen and Rick from 25 Ta Life). They played together for a few years and then 9/11 happened, Sam went up to live in Jersey and was so moved by what he saw at ground Zero he went to go fight in the war on Terror. He was a sgt. in the army, and we lost him in Iraq. We do something in his name every year, and this year we're doing another benefit show. we send the majority of the money to the USO's Operation USO Care package program (they send stuff to our brothers and sisters serving overseas) Please help us however you can, and let's shoot for a great turnout, and a bigger check than last year.
