Within Y

You might have been punched in the face before. But have you ever been punched with precision? The earlier works of Within Y has not stood out in the greater crowd, with the exception of one respect; the strive towards pure cultivation and precise accuracy, which has been the backbone of their music. Since the formation in 2002 the band has continuously refined its works- not to be one of its kind, but among the best.

In retrospect, the band's resume denotes an impressive set of achievements - ranging from scoring a full 10 out of 10 with the "Feeble and Weak" demo in Swedish "Close-Up Magazine", appointing the demo as "Best in Sweden" in issue 55, to a #3 position on the national rock charts the week after releasing their third studio album, "The Cult". The same album was also nominated as "Best Death Metal Album" at the Swedish Metal Awards 2009.

Within Y have previously had the opportunity to support acts like Killswitch Engage (US), Nevermore (US) and Raunchy (DK), to name a few. During that period, Within Y built up a reputation as an infamous live act that always delivered and never disappointed. Without forgoing precision and aggression, they left nobody empty handed.

During 2011, Within Y will be releasing their fourth studio album through GAIN Music Entertainment/Sony Bmg (representing Swedish acts such as Hardcore Superstar, Mustasch and Crash Diet). The album is produced by Within Y and mastered by Jacob Hansen (Hatesphere (DK), Nightrage (SE), Volbeat (DK), among others). It will substantiate the evolution of the Within Y sound; once being a product of the melodic death metal wave - now manifesting a refined piece of fury with added elements of thrash metal and hard rock.
