About Witt Drawls

Witt Drawls (1967-2005) was a Rock and Roll genius who hailed from Norfolk Virginia. As the driving force behind the legendary Garage Punk band The M-80's, He was known for his over the top guitar performances but could also lay down a hell of melodic pop or country tune. Witt passed away in 2005. This page was made to try and honor his memory and remember his nearly two decades of contributions to Virginia Rock & Roll Music. After the M-80's he performed with such other acts as the Nightcaps, The Shunts, The Strap-Ons & The Horehounds, as well as numerous solo demo recordings. We miss you, oh me Brother. Power To The K!

Clifford Novey	Feb 18 2009 10:56 PM I have a memory of Witt- loved the band- admired his playing- we talked- he was nice- he listened to a casette I gave him of me playing guitar and gave kind supportive feedback- I remember the house and room on Colonial where I was whaen we spoke on the phone- the support meant a lot to me. To put up with that long rambling casette I made him he musta been a saint. I am sad to hear of his passing and glad I got to hear him shine when I did. Thanks Witt- you rock.

Erin	May 28 2008 2:07 PM Just got back from a 10 hour drive (5 hours both ways) and listened to a lot of cool music on the way.. put in some M80s... and had one of those moments where all is well, then you bust out laughing thinking of a funny moment... was listening to "To late" (think thats the name of the song??? and started thinking of the day you and I were in the car and you were playing the guitar in the front seat singing and playing that song but you kept singing about a "two headed baby" hey it made me laugh again all these years later...
