With a last name like Witty, Lisa has a lot to live up to...with a family full of creative minds, along with her own competitive nature, there is much that drives her to write that next best song. Lisa is currently living in Nashville,TN where she feels very at home amongst the other songwriters. Growing up in a very small town in Northern Michigan, she has finally found the place where there is a sense of community, and support. Living in LA for three years before Nashville was a great, eye-opening experience as to how the business is done elsewhere, but has come to realize where and how she wants to live her life.
Nashville as many know, is a town of co-writing, and one important thing Lisa has learned in her time there, is that she feels more satisfaction by penning her songs alone. "It feels like you're going against the grain", but she still enjoys co-writing, and everything you can learn from others, not to mention the great laughs, lunches and friendships that come along with it! "Sometimes I feel like I'm missing out on all the fun that happens on music row day to day, but the older I've gotten, the more I know who I am..."
And knowing who she is still includes tending to her other passion- skiing. Lisa has been a ski instructor in Vail, CO since graduating from the University of Michigan where she continued ski racing, and competing as a pro mogul skier. She currently keeps Southwest Airlines in business (not that they need her help), by trekking out west many times throughout the ski season. "It's a great way to clear my head, see old friends, and just enjoy the beauty of the outdoors"...she feels very blessed to be able to go back every season. "Vail has been good to me".
Other things that have been good to Lisa are getting some of her songs placed in film and tv. You can hear her songs on NBCs "Life", "Everwood", "Felicity", ABC Familys, "Hello Sister, Goodbye Life", "Jack and Bobby", Cinema Sounds in movie theaters, and of course, the iPods and cd players of those who have found her music!
By listening to Lisa Witty you will enjoy smart lyrics, beautiful melodies and subject matter that both young and old can understand. She has a unique way of writing about what may have been said before, and it's never mundane. Watch out for bigger and better things...

Each additional video upload for the same artist name and at the same video website is 10 Euro.
