*Who We Are:
Wives of Faith is a faith-based military wives support organization that exists for the purpose of connecting all military wives including active, retired, Reserve and Guard, who are looking for encouragement and friendships with others sharing similar life experiences.
With more and more service members deploying and families living away from their military installation, spouses are seeking friendships with other women who may better understand their circumstances than civilian friends and family are sometimes able to.
*What We Do:
Wives of Faith get-togethers provide a way for military spouses to meet each other, connect for a friendly cup of coffee or conversation over lunch, a play date at the park with the kids, or a heart to heart when times get tough.
It's our hope that through this group, women will be encouraged in their walk with God through the ups and downs of military life and discover the hope and contentment that we can all have through Christ.
Hello fellow military Wives of Faith! I am Jamie. My husband is in the Army, stationed at Ft Campbell, currently far, far away. I have three beautiful children, ages 11, 7 and 2 (boy, girl, boy). I have been married to my soldier for nearly 9 years and he's been in the Army nearly 15 years. I know it's not Monday, but a few great things about today are: I woke up again, I have my health, it's a beautiful day, I have already heard from my husband today and God is the same God He was yesterday and every day before that~and He loves me! Have a great Tuesday everyone!
Thank you for the cards and many prayers over the past several weeks. I really thought I had hit rock bottom after my surgery but last week I realized I could drop just a little lower. My grandmother had been sick for about 2 weeks and we waited for her to pass. On April 1st at 800 am my mom had a heart attack and that night about 800 pm her mother, my grandmother passed away. So please continue to keep my family in your prayers. I am happy to say my mother will make a full recovery with no damage. God is so good!!!
Hey Maria. I don't know if it is to late or not. But look up the lodging on post. You usually can't book it until 24 hrs before you come in. But it's pretty inexpensive.
That's a great verse, Nicole. It reminds me of something I was talking about with someone last week, the image of someone who is struggling in the water - it's only when you're still that you float - as long as you're panicking and flailing around, it's more likely that you'll drown. It's when you're still and calm that you can rest on your back and stay above the water. It's counterintuitive I guess for us to want to do that, but so often that's how God can work the most in our lives. When we're still. Thanks for that verse. I know it will be an encouragement to others as it was to me. Sara
A verse I think about a lot is Exodus 14:14 "The Lord will fight for you, you need only be still." It just reminds me that I'm not alone in this battle. Some days it doesn't seem so bad, the kids aren't making me crazy, the house isn't a mess, but then there are the days when I just want to cry. It's especially then that I remember that God is always on my side, through any storm. And I'll make it through this deployment like I've made it through the others. :)
This Week's Question: Carol Mac talks about the storms we can deal with in our marriages this week at faithwives. blogspot. com. What are some scriptures you turn to that help you the most! Leave them here to encourage everyone!
