Holy Cow.
For those of you who saw last night's Wizard Finger at Molly Malone's, you know that it was fully and completely off the proverbial chain. The chain was removed in advance, placed in a wooden crate and shipped to Tonga. That's how "off" it was.
Great monologues about poop, NYC, stolen knobs, and a lady from Fiji. Flippy, jumpy girl. Glow friends in white tatters. Jesse's girl. Red-hatted violin/Gibson SG duet. Glitter stripping with defective pasties.
Oh - and little ol' us.
We played four tunes during the show, then a full set afterwards, which had the joint jumpin'! We had the collective time of our collective life. Folks were stompin' and hollerin', doe-si-doe-in', and ass-slappin'.
It was our favoritest show yet - thanks, Wizard Finger!!!
About me: Hey, I'm Jill Benjamin and I host a variety show called WIZARD FINGER! LA Weekly best described it as "part open mic, part rave and part circus, this neo-millennial variety show flowed like a dream." Was waiting to see if the rest of my OC posee was up for the drive to LA this thurs...but now that the phd(2b) trio has come to a consensus that we need a comedic respite from our ivory tower (and hence stop using words like "respite" and "hence" in a myspace comment), I can post a comment to say how excited we are to come see WF again!! YaY!
EXCELLENT show thurs night! the orange county contingent is growing...i'll bring more to the next one. before you know it, marissa cooper and summer roberts will be attending. which is only funny if you are willing to admit that you watch the OC.
